SW- need to change flights

Had tripped planned and booked flights, something came up & now we can't go that week & have to push trip back a couple of weeks. I used points to book whole thing. Can I just go into the change flight section in SW & change or do I have to cancel & rebook completely because new flight will be completely different & 2 mos later ?

nope, try to just do a change.... it's easy and just hit that button, follow the pages.... make sure you choose the proper flights you're looking for- I prefer changing over cancel/rebook.... you may end up paying more or less depending....

So I did what you recommended & changed flights instead of cancelling & rebooking. Easy peasy & new flights were less expensive so even got 9,000 points back in my account . Thanks again for the assistance
