SW flight changes and credits

Hi everyone!! I am planning a trip in December and I want to book a flight out of Houston to Orlando. I keep reading about all the low, low fares everyone is getting and I hope I can get low fares too. I can fly nonstop out of Hobby airport for $89 each way with the internet fare. If there is a Ding fare that is lower later can I get a credit for the difference? I think the tickets are non refundable, but I am not sure if that means you cannot get the price difference in the form of a credit. We hope to go next year so a credit would be fine with me.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, you can get a credit for the difference. The credit is good for one year from the date of the original ticket purchase.

Yep, did it tonight.

We had some good fares from RDU to MCO, $49, until SW let loose with the DING fares of $31! We booked the new ones and cancelled the old ones for full SW credit (going in December so I am sure we will use it).

yes you can get the difference in a SW credit to be used within one year from the date of original purchase. What you would have to do if a cheaper Ding came along is

*open the Ding window and select your flights.

*proceed to the part where you need to enter in payment

*open a new window and go to SW travel Center

*at the Travel Center, select cancel flight

*enter in your original confirmation number and the name of the person that paid by cc ~ don't cancel just yet

*go back to the Ding window with the new flights and make sure those tickets are still available

*go to cancellation window and cancel flights if Dings are still available. this will give you the full amount in the form of Ticketless Travel Funds

*go to payment window and enter in confirmation # and name of person that paid for the flight that you just cancelled to use the Ticketless Travel Funds
You will still need to enter in cc information event hough nothing will be charged to your cc

The difference in price will remain in your TTF for future use
