SW experts, question about using credit funds

I had a credit from last year of $156.00 (that I had to use by June) which I applied to our flight to and from Ft Lauderdale this year. Now there have been some really good dings from Phl to Fort Lauderdale, $34-$39 each way, and I paid $69.00 each way.
My questions is this, if I cancel the flights that I used my credit on, and I rebook with the ding, when will the "new" credit expire, will I have to use it by June again or will it be a year from when I cancel???

It will keep the original expiration date of June. If you cancelled it, and then viewed the ticketless funds, it would clearly show this.

When you look it up, you will see the reservation number of the original reservation, the exact date the funds must be used by (origianl booking), and the amount. I was told that you could actual still get credit on the amount if your time passes. I was told to call in close to my date and talk to the refund department. Number is 214-792-4223. The hours are M-F 8-5 central time. She said they would issue me a travel voucher to be used in 6 months from the time I call, so she suggested waiting closer to the expiration date.
