I booked a flight from MCO to buffalo for 168 it is now 69 what is the chance of getting the credit added back to my credit card? non-refundable ticket. called cs and was told I had to wait a year for credit. I was told I would receive a travel voucher first, if I didn't use I could request credit:confused3

anyone please help?

I have always received a credit for future travel. You can try calling the customer relations number 214-792-4223 to see if they will credit your charge card.

TONNIE, I believe once your trip is completed, if you then call customer relations, they will then credit your card.

I am wondering the same thing and cannot find an answer anywhere...

we booked out of Albany 2 weeks ago..1st one way fare $149...5 days later down to $119...now down to $69

I went onto the website and clicked on view/change reservation...went through the steps and didn't change a thing except when all the fare choices came up chose same flight lower fare and next screen asks me what do I want to do with the balance, receive refund or credit for future travel...I chose refund and got an email that credite will be applied to credit card #...

still no credit on my card....no travel credit for future travel shows on the southwest site either....

I didn't have the option of a refund, only a credit that is good for 1 year after the issue date.

Last year we got $120 credit as the airfare went down, this year we are going to WDW a month later and when I tried to use the credit it said it was past the 1 year...:sad2:

We never got it credited back to our CC and now we can't use the 120 dollars...sheesh!

I just called the refund service and they wouldn't refund the credit to my CC or adjust the plane tickets we just bought yesterday but they did send me a 6 month extension voucher of $120 that we can use or give away...We only go to WDW once a year and don't travel inbetween hardly at all..It's a bummer but I still told them to send it to me. I would have rather had them credit my CC back

I was checking my airfare this morning and saw that my flights were cheaper. I was able to get a SW credit of $482. WOW. All I could get was a SW credit not a credit to my credit card. Oh well. Either going back next April or August so hopefully they will give me an extension. My SW credit expires March 31st 2008. Does anyone know if that means my flight has to be before then or if I have to book my flight by then. Thanks

You do have to travel or use the credit by the expiration date. They do usually allow a 6 month extension but you have to pay out of pocket for the ticket then call afterwards and they will credit you back.

Thank you jmpellet. I would probably be booking before the credit expires but not flying before it expires.

I must have timed it right but when I called SW customer relations, I explained I only fly every 2 or 3 years (which is true) and the credit wouldn't help me. I was given a "one-time refund on my credit card" for the $172 difference when I rebooked to a lower fare. Maybe this could be done for you, but my guess is I just hit the right person at the right time.
