I played around a little today with the Southwest Vacation promotion Friends Fly/Play/Dine Free. Has anyone booked this promotion? It seems they'll let me pick fly and play free (buy one get one free airfare and park tickets) plus when I go to add dining it is discounted only slightly. For a 4 night stay they quoted $164.71 per adult or $41.1775 per night. And $45.27 per child or $11.3175 per night. This is for the Regular 1Ts/1CS/1S plan. I've never seen a discount on the dining AND park tickets before so I am confused???
Also, it states buy one 4 day parkhopper and get a second one free. When I back out the rack rate for the room it seems they're charging ~$450 for airfare which is about the same amount I could find for dings or specially priced airfare. So the airfare component (even advertised at BOGO) is artificially loaded. But the park ticket deal is alluring. Do you think this is actual Disney tickets? We are passholders so I would use those tickets to buy our AP's next year. If I could get 2 adult PH tickets for the price they are quoting $289.86 (which includes tax) that would be a $290 value (free).
No discount on the room rate, no discount on the air, slight discount on the dining?, and an adult 4 day PH free. I'm trying to see if this is a legitimate deal or if I'm missing somthing.
Anyone have any experience with this? Booking dates are til 12/15 with the week of Thanksgiving blacked out.
