I just booked SW at $79 each way 8/6-8/21 out of buffalo,ny. For 4 of us it was 702.40. I don't think i can get any cheaper than that unless a ding comes up and i was afraid those would be very restrictive as for the days of the week. I was considering driving, but broke down and got SW. Both ns flights.

Sounds like a great deal, considering gas prices and cost of meals on the road and a hotel if you didn't drive staight through.

:wave2: from a former Buffalonian :)

You did great!

We've usually been able to get the $79 fares out of Philly, but when they just updated to include dates for our October trip, the lowest fares were $107 - Bummer...

To give you an idea of how much it hurt, we (family of 4 ) are flying out later today to Disney for $388 total non-stop from Philly, courtesy of an awesome $39 Ding fare.
The same fare for our October dates came out to $932 - Ouch!

I know what you mean. We have just resigned ourselves to the fact that Southwest will dictate when we visit Mickey! Next week ALB to MCO for $54.00, yippee!! :cool1:

Well the good thing about southwest is if you find a cheaper fare you can get a southwest credit for the difference...you really can't go wrong.

Keep watching the fares. Last August I got $49/ea way from Buffalo and it wasn't a ding.

This year, I decided to wait for the $49 fare to book. They had a ding for $49 ea way on Mother's Day for June travel. Unfortunately I was sick that day and read about the ding here on the dis. But a few days later they had another ding for $54 each way in June and I jumped on that. It did restrict my days a little though b/c the only nonstop flights I could find were leaving and returning on a Wednesday. I took it and found accommodations around our flights instead vice versa.

I wish I could find $79 out of Providence for my Aug trip for my party of 6. I went twice in May and paid $49 one trip and $59 the other. Now the lowest I can find is $94. I'm going to book as soon as my 1 friend confirms that he can get the days off. I could always use a credit!

I would love to have gotten a $49 rate. I have actually never paid more than that for a ticket in previous years that we have gone. I was just worried that we are getting close and there is no changing our date. I have to be home by the 22 for a mandatory training for the school district i work for and my dh can't change either. I am happy with our rate now if a ding becomes available i will be changing it. pixiedust: pixiedust:

Thanks you saved me another $30....I'm flying down on a friday so no discount there but my flight back on Wednesday had a discount...

I got the same rate through Buffalo too. Sept 24- Oct 4.
I did pay less last year and still hoping for a drop but I have the nonstop and to me it's priceless :cheer2:

Congrats! I seen that cheap airfare but had already booked with Disney for the Airtran special. I paid 705 dollars for the 4 of us roundtrip out of Buffalo, have to stop in Atlanta though. I looked at the tickets I got in the mail last week- nonrefundable- yuck!!!!!!!!
