Brenda should have asked for the idol. Then he would have had to turn it over or said no. Then the rest of the group could have made a judgment of him based on his response. I guess Brenda felt that asking for the idol was scrambling.

Well I was a little surprised that Sash didn't give his Idol to Brenda.

I wasn't. I don't think he was ever serious about giving it to her. It's like Jeff says in his blog, if you don't have it in your possession when you go to TC, you're probably not going to get it.

I think Brenda fully expected him to give it to her - did you see her looking at him when Jeff asked if anybody wanted to play the idol?

She looked like a kid about to open a big present at Christmas. Too bad all she got was a lump of coal

I figure Sash thought it was a good opportunity to get rid of Brenda, one that he didn't have to organize. He just went with the group to look good, as did Chase. What would have really been cool if the core group against Brenda had secretly changed their vote to Sash and blindsided him.

I disagree with some of Jeff's analysis on the players who can/can't win the game.

Chase has 0 chance of winning. That guy is a moron and runs around telling everyone what someone else's plans are. He was figured out this week by even his closest friend Jane. Chase better luck next time.

I think Dan has a great chance to win. I wonder if people even realize if he is there. He is in 0 danger of being voted out right and people love Dan. If he gets to the finals he could very easily argue that he never quit eventhough it would have been easy for him to do so. Add to that the fact that he is well liked, dangerous!

I can usually see where Jeff is coming from, even if I don't necessarily agree with him. But I'm with you on the Dan thing. They're all keeping him around because they think he has no chance of actually winning the money. I'm not so sure.

I'm undecided about Chase. If the final vote had been last night, I'm with you - no chance for Chase to win. But he still has time to turn things around, and he is a likeable guy. Whether he can do that or not is another question. Based on what we've seen so far, I'd say chances are slim, but you never know.

It seems to me that they've really toned down the Naonka edit. I have to believe she's still spouting plenty of nonsense, I bet we're just not seeing as much of it.

That didn't really surprise me but seeing that both he and Chase voted for her did.

Kelly is really out of the loop. She was the only one that voted Benry.

He had no power in the group last night either. The numbers have basically left their alliance in the dust so if he'd used his idol to save Brenda, he would still be on the hot seat. And he'd be in the hot seat with no idol.

His best move available was to let the others have their way and go along with them voting Brenda out.

I suspect he'll be doing a lot of scrambling himself now.

Because he and Brenda are top on their list to get rid of. And to get rid of the idol.

I was just looking at Ponderosa and it's pretty interesting over there. The cast offs are not getting food in the cars like they did last season. Alina is pretty happy to be there. She would trade it in a minute to be able to go back though. She said that Purple Kelly was just giving her the evil eye during tribal and Jeff called her on it. We didn't see that.

Marty is his same old cocky self. Considers all that's left are buffoons. He is driving Alina crazy with all his talk.

And Brenda, she's driving Alina crazy also. Marty told Brenda that he had her pegged to win and would have voted for her.

The accomodations are much nicer than last year's Ponderosa.

This is not a spoiler because it was in the Ponderosa video but if you don't want to know, don't read what comes next.

They received tree mail the next day after tribal saying that the big event that night would be tribal. So, someone else is getting voted off the day after Brenda.

Whoever is creating the "Next Time on Suvivor" clips is apparently as stupid as this years players. They keep giving away stuff. Like the tribe merge, don't tell us. Simple stuff like that ruins it for us viewers.

They're not giving anything away. Next week is a rehash show. What we are seeing in the clips already happened.

I really wish that Survivor would return to it's roots and cast more "real people" again. Like the old days. The "pretty casting types" have become the majority and the game has suffered.

i agree 1 or 2 token real people amoung a bunch of starlett/actor wannabees don't cut it.

i'm tire of season after season the hard working ones struggle to stay when the "in" crowd pecks them off one by one. like they ever stand a chance when it's unbalanced

i don't like when they divide by gender or age. as much as i'd like to stand on my soap box and say that women are as strong and tough as males how often are they really going to beat the men. same with old vs young

as the show grows in popularity it seems there was far more "casting" and less surviving.

i'm not sure if it was survivor or BB but i did hear that several people were cast after being picked out of dance clubs. (actually it may have been BB - not much surviving needed there LOL)
