Okay, so how do folks think this will work out from here? With Gary's departure, I believe that seals the deal -- the fearsome foursome will make it at least to the final five, if not the final four. However, it is beginning to shape up into Steph and Judd versus Rafe and Cindy. Smart of both Steph and Rafe: They may be the best two players, but that would only make the choice between the two of them, at the end, all the more random. Both Steph and Rafe must know that the partner they've chosen to go the distance with has got some major demerits with the jury. Rafe would be sitting much prettier with Cindy than Steph would be with Judd, though, IMHO. As much as Steph is a great player, there is still a lot of animosity out there that she got a second chance, and perhaps feelings that it gave her an unfair advantage.
Of course, immunity will have some influence, but when it comes time for one of these four to go, it isn't clear to me how that will work out. I suppose it could come down to two versus two, but I doubt that -- I cannot remember it working out that way in the past. As far as I recall, there was always a swing vote, at the final five, that fifth wheel that became the third wheel in one of the two twosomes. I'm thinking that could be Danni, with Steph and Judd, or Lydia, with Rafe and Cindy.
So that makes the next elimination all the more important, and consequently makes the next immunity all the more important. If Lydia doesn't win immunity, Rafe and Cindy may not yet see the danger (to them) in leaving Danni behind. They're still probably thinking like a tight foursome. And if they were actually thinking beyond the foursome, they'd probably go after Judd, anyway. OTOH, Steph doesn't have as many options as Rafe.
