SURVIVOR fans! The game is on! What do you think?(Remember our west coast friends)

My mouth was hanging wide open when Heidi said something about Joanna can work all she wants, I'm gonna hang and relax and maybe take a nap this afternoon  She does realize she's in the middle of the jungle and that they have to fend for themselves right? They still don't understand that they need good shelter and food! And her trying to say that the skinnier girls don't need as much to eat  Reality check!

I wish the camera would get some pictures of the "pretty girls" sleeping with drool coming out of their mouths!!!! :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: Of course they probably sleep "pretty" too!

I wonder how Heidi liked watching the show and hearing Rob say she's only a "6" on the island even though she's probably a "9" in real life!

If I was Heidi's mom watching this I'd never want to show my face again!!!

As well as the "little girls" comments, Heidi also said "cute girls" about 12 times. She's right about one thing - she and her buddies are acting more like "little girls" (as in young, not size wise) than real women. I was so disgusted last night, I was rooting for the men. I still like Christy, Deena & Jeanne though. But, can anyone figure out WHY did Shawna vote for Christy??

And, MaryAnn, when Heidi made that comment about the big girls having more fat to burn so they had more energy, I fell off the sofa. And, she's a gym teacher??

I am sorry...get rid of the cutie girls and the girls have a chance. How stupid could they be voting of their strongest member. Yes, she was a force to reckon with, but geez women get further in the game before you did it  This has becaome more about those three bimbettes than anything else

HEY, it seems you all are against cutie girls with nice bodies who have to conserve their energy. You all must be jealous. ;) :teeth:

I wonder how long Deena, Jeanne and Christy will put up with doing all the work while Jenna, Heidi and Shawna rest their "cute, little bodies"? Those "little girls" are setting such a bad example for the women of the world. Yes, Joanne was the strongest, but the "old" women should have formed an alliance to get rid of the cute chicks and worry about Joanne later.

Never thought I'd say it - but I'm hoping the final 4 is all men!

Beauty fades but stupid is forever!

I thought Joanna was a very attractive woman- beautiful bone structure, tall, not in the LEAST bit "fat", but athletic..... there is no "substance" to the "cute" girls. If Heidi were my child's gym teacher, I would have a problem with the way she is coming across on this show. What grades does she teach?? Hopefully not Jr. High or High school- where kids might see this show.

As I told my cousin's dd's when they were about 16..... I used to look like that too..... BEHOLD YOUR FUTURE!:teeth:

Here's a recap of Joanna this morning:

When they introduced her she immediately started singing her song that we heard over and over again on the show.

She said her strong standards caused her to get voted off, but she didn't come for the money, she came to represent her faith. What we saw on the show is how she is in real life.

She didn't form alliances because the other members of her team didn't have the same philosophy or standards she did. Only Jeanne had the same agenda she did and if she did it again she would have tried to form an alliance.

Some of the girls came to just show how beautiful their bodies are. She was very surprised watching the show at their comments and had no idea while there that they were saying those things behind their backs. I loved this comment - she said their bodies aren't as good as hers in their natural state!!! :teeth:

One caller said Joanna made black women proud. Joanna's sister called in too. Her mom died just before going on Survivor so she brought her photo as her luxury item to remind her to keep up her standards.

Here's Disney's Tribe standings: (this week/last week)

1/1. Disney 5 - 3771 #97 of private leagues :D
2/3. Disney 3 - 2940
3/2. The-Dis-Tribe - 2925
?/4. Dis Tribe - ?

I'll repost these standings after I recieve the total points from the Dis Tribe.

from the preview it looks as though they mix up the teams next week as they did in other survivors. i wonder how the "cute girls" will react if they are split up? i'm really getting tired of them complaining all the time. i feel it was stupid of them to get rid of a strong woman instead of a sick one just because she was annoying everyone. they'll probably regret it in later challenges.

Thanks for the team info. Does anyone wonder which individual is doing the best out of all of the Disney groups or is it just me? :)

Is there any interest in seeing which individuals have the top 5 scores?

this would require the help of everyone, or at least one member from each tribe. we have 4 tribes with 8 teams each. this would be 32 people but since some are one more than one tribe, we could actually post everyone's scores. i think it would make more sense to post scores with disboard's names instead of survivor fantasy league's names. this would be the most work figuring out who is who, but it could be done. anyone have a nomination of a person for this position?

This is going to be a Joanna is annoying post! I just saw her on the early show and am so annoyed. She was my favorite at the start. Then she got so overbearing with her beliefs etc. that I simply did not see her as a team player, which at this point she needed to be. This morning she was clearly holding grudges against people who voted her off - the only person she had anything at all nice to say about was Jeanne. You'd think she could've come up with something positive about someone else. She came off as very "superior" and not at all likable IMO. I am a Christian too and believe humility is a very important aspect of it. I just don't get where she was a fine role model for black women - I suppose that's just because she didn't come off as lazy like some of the people of color on the show previously have? To me the biggest part of Survivor early on is having the people skills to make some alliances.

The Early Show people were weird - they practically bowed down and told her they wished she was the winner. They kept telling her how wonderful she was. She was not questioned about the immunity idol thing or her fight with Christy.

Can you tell I found the interview annoying?

PS I hope they vote Shawna off next and Christy, Deena, and Jeanne make it the farthest of the women.

I agree with this disykat.

I just don't get where she was a fine role model for black women -- I suppose that's just because she didn't come off as lazy like some of the people of color on the show previously have?

I beg to differ on this. I wouldn't lump all of the people of color "lazy" on this show and that's hardly the comparison we use when the term "role model" is used. Joanna stood for what she stood for without wavering. She did not play the game to win but to represent. In that case I think she did a great job. You cannot please man AND God, it's impossible.

My roles as a Christian and a proud Black woman intertwine daily. I have to exist in this world and have used survival as a way to make it daily. It may not be likeable to some and I know I would NEVER win on Survivor but I run my own race to win.

I knew I would be going out this a.m. and missing The Early Show and started to ask DH to set up VCR to record it and then told him to forget it. 1) I was not that interested in anything Joanna had to say. Your outline, DisyKat of what took place this morning is exactly as I had expected it to be. And 2) The Early Show people ARE annoying. They do not ask the questions that you wanna know the answers to (unless they feel that they can "laugh" with the person a bit (in other words - make fun of them) knowing that the person would go along with the joking.

SmileyBrat - I have not been over to CBS website yet to check my scores and frankly I am quite mad at myself for not changing my team around prior to showtime. I meant to do same, I planned to do same, I even had TIME to do same, but just forgot to do same!!! I can't check now either. I will before the end of of today, however.

I like the idea of posting individual scores too! If no one else steps forward to volunteer, I will take on that task.

I agree with DisyKat too. Normally I would have said that voting off Joanna was a mistake while the tribes were still split, but her in your face religion was just too overbearing to take. I disliked her ever since she got in Kristy's face. But they are going to miss her work ethic and strength.

We've all been focusing on the girls, but does anyone else find Roger as annoying as I do? Who is he to judge Rob? And props to Matthew for standing up to the rest of the guys and proving that he can't be judged by the company he keeps.

While I agree that I certainly wouldn't "lump" all the people of color together as lazy, I DO beg to differ with you that Joanna did a great job "representing." I thought her treatment of Christy was downright mean and nasty. I'm not sure what that "represented", but I don't think it was Christ.

BTW...Joanna was on my Survivor Fantasy team and she cost me 20 points by getting voted off!!

My words were that SOME of the people of color on the show have come off as lazy(I didn't lump them all IMO). I specifically remember it being discussed here that it seemed like many of the black people so far on the show were coming off as lazy and that it was seen as a poor/unfair portrayal. I was trying to speculate as to why people felt Joanna was such a powerful black role model when I did not see her behavior in such a positive light. The strength she showed IMO was her work ethic.
