Would have preferred Jonathan, but figured it would be close. Not the worst winner ever at least. Congrats to her. Even if I don't particularly like her as a player personally.

IMO they let previous games and "she should have won" previous seasons play too much into it.

I honestly would have been fine with any of the final three winning, that rarely is the case ... but she certainly worked hard all season and was deserving.

I hope with the double winning to $2 million that they also doubled the 2nd and 3rd place pots too!

Glad they seem to be bringing back some of the older stuff from the trailer for 51 and keeping more possible twists at every turn.

Still love the tame but IMO the game is still getting a bit too stale. Middle and bottom players that make it past merge just take turns voting out all my favorite players and challenge beasts before the finals .

They need to keep some things in to keep some of them in it longer to actually make it possible to make it to the end

My husband and I were doing double takes during that production screw up.

Very happy with the winner, and the Sia prize winner was a given.

I normally don't like Simmotion as a challenge, but the end was a nailbiter. We could tell by the way the jury questions went how the votes would go, and I am glad that Cirie put the brakes on Stephenie's fangirling over Jonathan. Stephenie was the one I actively rooted against this season so that made my evening.

In seasons 45, 47, 48, and 49 the winner of Survivor was also the person who won the most individual immunity challenges. That includes Savannah who won seven individual immunity necklaces. Would you consider her a challenge beast?

She was actually the one possible recent exception I was thinking about when writing that .

BTW she only won four immunities (the other things she won were rewards). But she did win them. IMO it was a very weak season/cast (something that has been happening way too much in the past 15 or so seasons) And they tried to get her out at the end, she had to make fire to make it to the end. Like most challenge beasts if you lose at the wrong time, it's game over. She got just far enough that she still got to make fire to make it in.

Also I don't think Kyle won the most in season 48, Joe did. Rachel tied for the most in her (another weak) season. Dee was pretty legit in 45 though.

But even then the challenges in the newer era of survivor have been pretty disappointing most of the time. They repeat too often and are not nearly as physical or competitive as they used to be. And they simply refuse to have any sort of contact competitions any more. And they have reused them so much that on multiple occasions now contestants have recreated or purchased copies of challenges or puzzles that they have used to memorize or practice at home. It's getting a bit ridiculous.

Most individual immunities are either balance this for the longest, stand on/hold this the longest, or run this small obstacle course and finish this puzzle at the end. Why every physical challenge seems to have to have a puzzle at the end IDK. They seem to me catering the challenges towards the weaker new era players IMO and it does not make for as good of a show as the older less predictable and more grueling challenges.

They didn't have any normal idols at all this season, the only way to get one was to be given one. Overall I liked the twists, but it was still too stale at times. No real hidden advantages or regular idols that people could use in a pinch if they or their alliance had one.

Very happy with who won! I don’t understand how she gets any hate. I don’t remember her being nasty in her first season.
