Survivor 23--South Pacific--No Spoilers**Wed 9/14**

Brandon's prayers were answered but not really by God but by coach messing with his and others head. I am also christian and what he did was wrong. I do see your point that Brandon's prayer was answered just really not by God/Jesus the Holy Spirit etc but by a deceitful man out to win at any cost including acting like a crocked tv minister. sad really

Without getting into a religious debate I will simply say I COMPLETELY understand your point of view on the matter.

There doesn't have to be a deus ex machina. God answers prayers in all kinds of crazy ways.

Ozzys move was just plain dumb. If he doesn't win, I have to say that this will be the dumbest move ever in Survivor.

If she does get voted off right away like they did Matt then I would love for Survivor to bring them both back in the next season.
I'm ready for a season of all new people, I'm tired of seeing returns.

Well, a lot of the religious stuff can be easily edited out. They are just choosing not too.

I can't wait for someone to spill the beans to Brandon that Coach had the idol the whole time before it magically appeared, as a result of prayer. Hopefully it will be enough for him (and those that didn't know Coach had it) to see right through him and how he is using God to play them.
Brandon all ready figured it out, just didn't know who had it and let Coach persuade him that no one had found the HII. If he thinks hard enough, he'll figure out he's been duped. If not, I'd would have loved to been a fly on the wall in his house watching the the show.

As good looking as he is, Ozzy has been nothing but a poor sport and a cry baby this season. I'm crossing my fingers that Christine beats his butt in the next challenge. Serves him right. Stupid stupid move, Ozzy.

Even the giving away of the idol.... wow. When are contestants going to learn to not put that thing in the hands of another? Cochran has every right to keep that idol now, and I hope he does.

Also, want to point out...

Sophie mentioned in a confessional that she was not comfortable with Coach praying for the idol to be found when he had it all along. Think she said it made her feel "ick" or something like that...

So.... Coach DID specifically pray for the idol to be found even if the editors chose not to air that part of the prayer in the episode.

I am so disappointed with Ozzy this season. What a schmuck! I really looked forward to seeing him swim his first season, he was killer in the swimming comps.

this season all he has done is thrown major temper tantrums and acted all superior. Dude, you haven't won this game so stop acting like you know everything.

Brandon is a wackadoodle!

Ozzys move was just plain dumb. If he doesn't win, I have to say that this will be the dumbest move ever in Survivor.

If he loses on RI then this will go down as the dumbest move ever...dumber than that young kid one season that gave up his immunity and then was voted off...or James getting voted off with TWO idols in his pocket!!!

Prayer works. Brandon prayed to find the Idol and it worked. The praying convinced Coach to share it.

As Happygirl said, no need is too small or "beneath" God.

Oh, please. Do you think God gives a hoot about a bunch of yahoos playing a game on TV? He has much more important things to spend his time on than granting a prayer for selfish motivationss. I'd like to think that the God I believe in isn't so shallow.

Lucky for me then that the God I believe in cares enough to listen to all prayers.

I keep praying to win the lotto, still waiting God. j/k Almost all of us praying for the lotto can not have it, only one can win out of millions.

In other Survivor news....I'm really really shocked at Ozzy this go round. He used to be a favorite but he's been a pouty little cry baby so much this season. This whole redemption island thing, I don't know how it's going to play out and I really don't know how I'd like to see it play out. Going was stupid. Even if Cochran lost to whatshername, haven't they been paying attention at the redemption Island challenges?? NO WAY is she going back to Upolu. She's so mad at Coach and the gang she'd have been a shoe-in to join Savaii.

I couldn't think Ozzy could act worse than he did on FvF. But this season, wow. he is, like a previous poster said, such a crybaby! I am getting a chuckle out of it now because the way he is acting is just so ridiculous.

Am I the only one that doesn't like the Redemption Island twist?? I really just with they would all be together as one big tribe and then win individual immunities, or just something different!!

Dalton Ross' weekly recap here.

I love his comments on the "Survivor Cinema" product-placement-"reward". That movie looks horrendous. :lmao:

I'm with ya, RI may have sounded great on the drawing boards, but isn't adding anything to the game, especially with Matt & Christine's winning streaks. They not only lose a chance to form an alliance with anyone, but are perceived as a threat because of their sucess. I.E., if Christine continues, no doubt she'll immediately be voted off by either tribe unless they need her to swing a crucial vote. But after that, she'll still be low man on the alliance totum pole and her days are numbered.

Anyone remember the season when they randomly switched up the tribes midway before the merge?? Always thought that was an effective way to shake up these 5-6 member alliances wayyy before the merge by allowing the "outsiders" a chance to team up.

I also still prefer the old two challenge per show approach: one for reward & one for immunity. It's doubly demoralizing for the losers - they're deprived food/luxuries AND lose a member. Before, you occasionally had the cocky reward winners get their butts handed to them at immunity challenge.

JMHO, of course. ;)

I think they make them do way too many challenges on RI to get back in the game.
