Currently at the parks...survey people get u coming into park, around the park and leaving the park. Seriously, leave me alone! On top of this, we are staying at desert inn and suites and right outside the front door is a world mark wyndam sales person...also attacking on way out of hotek and into hotel. Not what I need in my face after 10 hours of park time and 4 kids pulling me 8 ways!

We have been to the Park twice in the last 5 days. Both times were for the entire day. Not one survey. You must have "the look." :goodvibes

It's definitely tough to stop when you've been in the park all day and your group is bolting towards the exit to leave. In fact, when I was there last month, my group was heading out of the park and I couldn't stop to answer questions because I had to keep up with them.

However, that said, if they ever catch me when I am by myself or if my friends and I are just leisurely standing/sitting around (both of these scenarios have happened), I will gladly do the surveys. I will do any and all surveys that are asked of me as long as I'm not going to be left behind by my group!:rotfl2: First of all, I do surveys all the time (every single day) anyway, so it's nothing out of the ordinary for me. Second, sometimes the surveys they ask people to do pay off in the end, either with gift cards (some DIS'ers have gotten $50 or $100 Disney gift cards) or in cash ($100 cash). That would be like gold to some people in the parks. You never know which ones may pay off unless you stop and participate. Third, some of the categories are fun - they may ask about the changes at California Adventure, they may ask all about where you've eaten since you've been in the parks, they may ask about the DLR hotels, etc.

When they stop you as you enter the park, all they are usually doing is getting your e-mail address or phone number IF you want to participate in e-mail or phone surveys later on down the road. When they stop you as you exit the park, they are generally ready to do the survey right then and there.

But if I were in your shoes, I can see where I would be annoyed.:goodvibes

The survey people always mob us too, and we give our info and I fill out every one they send, but no perks for me :(

I really think this sums it up well. When solo I made eye contact with suvery CMs last trip about 50 times. Never was I asked to do a survey. Then when walking with my GF I tried and one time some asked my to take a survey it last maybe two questions. It ended after being asked where I was from. I think they wanted local families from my experience.

Different survey people are looking for certain information. Sometimes it's anyone for a name and e-mail, other times it's people entering with paper tickets or some other subset. You might have been a hot commodity that day.

Usually, when they ask the guests to see what kind of ticket they have as they enter the parks, that leads to asking them for the e-mail and phone number!!:rotfl2: It's just that sometimes they cut right to the chase and ask for the e-mail immediately, and other times they want to weed out people who have certain types of tickets for later questioning via e-mail or phone. Sometimes they will weed out people by zip code, too. Of course, exiting the parks is another story.

My friends and I have had all of these different scenarios happen in both parks. We've been stopped as we enter and as we exit, and as we just hung around doing nothing. I suppose we have the look, too! The only thing we have not gotten yet is the golden "we will give you a Disney gift card or cash" offers.

I must have "the look" too. My last trip to DL, I was caught both days in DL, once in DCA and once in DTD. Each time I answered a few questions. Each time, after the first one, I had already been asked.

One person admitted she had a quota.

I actually do not mind. I figure, maybe as an AP, I will get a PIN code, or an offer out of it. I will answer any survey they send to my email at home. I like telling Disney about my experiences.

Opinions are like belly buttons, we all have one.

As for the people on the street outside of the "strip" hotels, I brush them of with a polite no thank you. I fear my willingness is only in the parks.

I don't see the problems with Surveys. I think its good, it makes me feel special when I am asked :rotfl2:.
It doesn't take all that long to answer their questions, I have been asked about 5 times all up for various reasons and they only ever take a couple of minutes.

I agree with both of you about not minding doing the surveys. One time I was disappointed when the answer I gave to one of the CM's didn't qualify me to take the survey! I wanted to take it - it was about dining in DL!!:rotfl2:

I actually feel better that DLR is asking our opinions and getting feedback as opposed to not asking our opinions and getting feedback, if that makes sense! Whether they ultimately pay attention to what we say or not, at least they are getting the information from us.

I've never been asked outside a non disney hotel, but I have been asked multiple times coming in and out of the parks, and out of that I was asked to be on their official Opinionears and I get to get the scoop on things before it happens as well as get gift cards for participating. Not a bad deal.

We usually stop and participate in all the surveys. The only exception is if we have just completed a survey less then five minutes ago.

Most of the surveys are for name and email address.

One time I was asked to do a 5 minute survery but the second question was what kind of ticket did I use to enter the park today. When I responded an "AP" the survey abrubtly ended with a quick thank you.

I guess I wasn't the target audience.

We have been asked numerous times and have no problem with them as long as it is Disney.

Ooooh! Tinkdaz, that's not a bad deal at all! Even aside from getting the gift cards (which is great in and of itself), just being on the exclusive Disney survey panel would be awesome. I belong to soooo many other survey places anyway, and I answer redundant, repetitive questions on a daily basis, sometimes getting gift cards or tiny bits of cash every once in a while, but most of the time getting nothing. But if I am gong to do that sort of thing I would love to do it for my favorite place! I would love to do it for any Disney company!! I would want to just be on the panel, gift cards or no gift cards (though the gift cards are a big incentive!!).

I plan to stop for any and every survey person who approaches me on this upcoming DLR trip!!

Oh geeze the time share people on Harbor!! I HATE THEM! They get you coming and going I get so sick of it! I usually quickly walk past them, hold up my hand and "don't even...." after about the 50th+ time they get the point. It's nice when we stay at Anaheim Plaza we walk on the Disney side of the street and cross at the other end of Harbor, they don't bother you there.
