Surprising family

My wife DD and I have a surprise trip for DD6 and DD1.5. We will drive down 11/3 and drice back to NJ 11/11.

DD6 doesn't have a clue yet. I hope she will not guess when she awakes to find palm trees in Georgia. I want to be able to snap a picture of her face when she sees WDW as we pull up to it.

We surprised our two DS's over spring break. I had packed everything and had the car packed when they got home from school. We had told them that we were going to the lake house for a few days (to explain the luggage). Normally we fly to Florida and this trip we drove. It only take 1 1/2 hours to get to the lake house and after 7 hours in the car they still thought we were going to the lake (I guess they are not very observant). We finally told them and that was a mistake because then they couldn't sleep. They were too excited. My DH and I had the best time just trying to keep the secret for about 7 months. If you can do it, do it. It was fun!!

It is getting harder for me to keep the secret. My wife doesn't have the zeal for the World as I do, so I need a child to match it.

My DH and I are also planning another trip for next summer.... and we are trying to keep it a secret. Problem is: I can't keep secrets! It's nearly 9 months away and I'm already about to burst!

My DW and I are keeping the secret from our 2 kids DD8, and DS3. We are leaving this Saturday - first trip for both kids and DW, first time on an airplane for the kids... Now, how to tell them. We've already ruled out Friday night. That way they'll sleep without being overly excited.

We're thinking about playing a "Game". Something like if you had to pack for a trip, what would you take? And hopefully they'll say things like clothes, spending $$, cameras, etc. We've got Disney Dollars to give them, each one gets a disposable camera, etc. Then we'll tell them - Wow, you did such a good job packing lets go on a trip - How about Disney World?

4 Days and counting and the secret is still safe....
