Hi everyone,

Wife and I are hopping on the Magic on Nov 13 for 5N. While finishing our paperwork for check-in, we were placed in boarding group 2 and were given this message:

"You are not required to select a port arrival time. Please arrive anytime during the Embarkation period, at least one hour prior to all-aboard time at the latest. Once you are fully checked in and boarding has begun, you may make your way onto the ship at your leisure."

We were both shocked by this message as from what I've been told/hearing for months that they are very strict in the Port Arrival Times. Is this relaxing the protocols, I'm just incredibly lucky/weird or maybe a glitch?

Do you have DCL transfers scheduled? Some folks with transfers have needed PAT and others did not; no rhyme nor reason why. But the PAT is essentially a moot point when arriving by DCL transfers.

Yes we do have a DCL transfer from our hotel in Miami to the port. I guess that must be it.

Can you tell me what hotel your staying at? Never cruised out of Miami and would like to have Disney transfers from a hotel. Didn’t know Disney did transfers from Miami hotels. Did you use a ride share to get to the hotel from the airport or did you rent a car? Thinking about those options too.

We are staying at the EB Hotel Miami.

I normally can navigate Port Canaveral and book my own transportation to and from port but since this was Miami I rather have Disney do it for me since I wasn't as comfortable with the area. When we booked, I called and asked them to do an end to end arrangement. They said they had 3 partner hotels in Miami and it was the only available at the time. Seems like a perfectly nice hotel.

EB Hotel Miami is going to pick us up from the airport and then Disney will transfer us from the hotel to the port, and then from the port to the airport.

Thank you so much for this information. :thumbsup2

Do you remember the other two partner hotels? EB Hotel Miami looks completely booked for February and March next year. :(
