Surprised by lack of reporting from MK yesterday.

Kodak Figment checked in on how things went with his/her (?) group, but I'm surprised that the DIS didn't blow up yesterday with FP+ reports from the MK...either good or bad.

DH and I talked about this last night, it was a normally slow day for MK, all the marthoners went home, the MLK weekenders have not arrived yet. And those in the know, like DISers, probably avoided that park like the plague. If you still had the ability to pull FP+ via a KTTW card, AP, or other ticket media, wouldnt you go to Epcot or DHS, pull more FP-s, and avoid the mess that could or could not have been MK. I know we would not have gone near MK or AK they day they switched no matter what, if I knew beforehand.

I'm not surprised. It's a slow day, mid-week, in a slow month (outside of tail end of the holidays and MLK weekend). I don't think standby waits for anything were very long yesterday, and when standby waits are short, nobody gives a patootie about fast passes.

More interesting to see over the next 2-3 months will be MLK weekend, President's Day week, and Spring Break season.

All the usual blogs and Disney Twitter people were there. But I think since it was the second park to do this, there was less of a surprise element than it was at AK.

I was at DHS yesterday so didn't get a chance to experience it. We're at MK today so hopefully I'll have a chance to report back.

From what I've read on other sites, crowds were very low at MK yesterday and most everything was walk-on or close to it. That being the case, I wouldn't have expected any "problems" with FP+ because any kind of FP, Legacy or otherwise, was unnecessary. It doesn't mean the inherent problems with FP+ (only 3/day, only 1/attraction, only 1 park/day, non-resort guests can't access it until day of, etc.) aren't there and won't present themselves with higher crowd levels.

I did see on here that it was slow yesterday at MK. I still thought there might be more chatter. It will be interesting to see how it goes over the weekend.
