We had the best Christmas last year surprising our 2 children with the excitement of a
Disney Cruise for the family from Santa. We thought for days of how we could surprise them and I thought a treasure hunt would be fun. So we started with something like this. After ramsackiing the presents from Santa we drew their attention to a letter that was taped to the front door. This letter was the beginning of the 1st clue. Being as the children are 12 and 7 we tried to make them think, but not to stress, after all it was Christmas morning. We gave clues like " Oh, Oh, how we like to go, go to the GOGO (Daddy's car). When they got to the car there was another clue there that leads them to the spoon drawer in the house looking for something shiny, but only to find another clue. After about 5 or 6 clues they find the shiny round, flat object they we to find, and no it wasn't a coin. My dear hubby and I sat up for nights putting together a power point presentation on a CD that told all about their "Wonder Cruise" with many beautiful pictures of the ship, the character's on board and ended with a picture of Santa riding his sleigh at Disney World. The kids were so thrilled with this gift that they never told anyone about any of the toys they recieved, but everyone knows where they were going. This was the best Christmas ever. Good luck to you as you plan something special for your family!
