I am planning to surprise our two girls (8 and 14) with a Disney cruise for Christmas. I have several ideas on how to do this. But I thought it would be a lot of fun to hear how everyone surprised their chidlren/families (or who were suprised themselves!) with a trip to Disneyworld! :cheer2:

We had the best Christmas last year surprising our 2 children with the excitement of a Disney Cruise for the family from Santa. We thought for days of how we could surprise them and I thought a treasure hunt would be fun. So we started with something like this. After ramsackiing the presents from Santa we drew their attention to a letter that was taped to the front door. This letter was the beginning of the 1st clue. Being as the children are 12 and 7 we tried to make them think, but not to stress, after all it was Christmas morning. We gave clues like " Oh, Oh, how we like to go, go to the GOGO (Daddy's car). When they got to the car there was another clue there that leads them to the spoon drawer in the house looking for something shiny, but only to find another clue. After about 5 or 6 clues they find the shiny round, flat object they we to find, and no it wasn't a coin. My dear hubby and I sat up for nights putting together a power point presentation on a CD that told all about their "Wonder Cruise" with many beautiful pictures of the ship, the character's on board and ended with a picture of Santa riding his sleigh at Disney World. The kids were so thrilled with this gift that they never told anyone about any of the toys they recieved, but everyone knows where they were going. This was the best Christmas ever. Good luck to you as you plan something special for your family! :cool1:

Very, very cool!!! We are going to do a scavenger hunt as welll...leading up to two packages. So far I have WDW planning DVD, cruise DVD, golden ears, "livestrong" type WDW bracelets, my friend is bringing me maps for each child for all the parks, Disney pajama's and a mason jar filled with the appropriate number of Jelly-Bellies to coincide with the countdown of the trip. One a day until it's empty! I am still thinking of ideas to add to their box....it will take a few seconds for them to put it all together! I can hardly wait!! Oh and I am also getting the Birbaums WDW for kids by kids for my youngest dd's box. Any other ideas would be great to hear!

I had a thread with alot of other surprise plans etc, check it out! Have a good trip! :goodvibes

I planned a surprise for my children two years ago. Ages were 8 &10. They did sooo great on their report cards we decided to surprise them with a trip to our favorite place. We picked them up from school one Thursday, brought them home and there was a limo parked in our driveway! They were shocked! I said surprise!, we are on our way to Disney World!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am doing it again this January!! Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl:
