It's time to finish this up so here it goes....please excuse any typos in advance, it's late and I'm too lazy to spellcheck...
We woke up on July 5th talking about how magical our night was at Ohana's and in the MK, pure wonder! Our original plans today were to hit a water park but with the crowds we saw the night before we thought it best to maybe go to breakfast and then try Animal Kingdom for a bit. So we both got dressed and packed up our stuff...
We both really fell in love with POFQ and plan on booking a future trip there in the near future it's just a really pretty resort.
We had requested a late check-out so rather than rush we sat in the room and watched....The Price Is Right.

Why? No idea other than I was trying everything to delay leaving...
After it finished up and John and I finished playing the bidding wars against the tv contestants I asked John if he minded if we drove over to POR to check it out. So we hopped in the car and off we went. Our room was actually right next to these really interesting trees.
A view of building 7 from the parking lot...
And looking towards the front of the resort...
And the bridge heading from POFQ into POR...
And the river looking back towards POFQ...
So we pulled into POR after getting a bit turned around we found the lobby and parked to go explore. First I wanted to see the pool so we headed over the bridge down to the pool area which seemed pretty nice and was pretty busy.
The main pool at POR...
And the foodcourt/lobby area from the pool...
After checking out the pool we went into Boatright's and checked out the menu, John and I now have this place on our list of places to visit in the future. Main reason is they have many of John's favorite foods including sweet potato pancakes and jambalaya.
We then made our way to the gift shop where we made a few pin trades with some really nice CM's. And I spent 20+ minutes smelling all the candles in there...

It's a bad habit.
And the gift shop inside POR...
So by the time we got into the gift shop the sky had opened up yet again and so we figured AK was out of the picture yet again so we opted for a lunch at Golden Coral, so off we headed, we went to the one near DTD, big mistake it was $11.99 for lunch! So we went to the one of 192, only $7.19, big difference. We saw this one group of 20 somethings scoping out dirty tables to snag one so they could just jump on in and start eating for free, ummmm ok. We then saw them again in the ajoining gift shop filling their "shopping bags" aka pockets, wow, the nerve.
After lunch we headed to DTD and ended up watching Ratatouee, very cute! And then....we headed home.
We had a blast though in our 2 days, we relaxed, we caught up with each other and saw some of the coolest fireworks ever!
Hope you enjoyed this quick TR. Check our our
