So, I've been to WDW dozens of times and my beautiful daughter has enjoyed two trips (ages 2 & 4).

Well, she turns seven on May 27th (one week!) and we've decided to surprise her with a trip. This will be our second mother/daughter trip to WDW and I am really excited because she is older, taller and ready to ride!

We live in Richmond VA and were super lucky to snap a deal with Frontier airlines earlier this month to fly out of DC for $15 a ticket, that means our round trip will cost us $60! How could I pass that up?

A little info: I'm a full time college student working on becoming a professor, I study hard and maintain a 4.0GPA. I just turned 28 and hope to complete my degrees my age 30. My daughter is finishing up 1st grade and LOVES Disney (especially Frozen).

We are on a strict budget so Ive planned to stay at All-Star Sports (because it was the cheapest option, and we don't spend much time in the resort anyway.) Her last two trips we stayed at POP so this will be a fun new change.

We are booked for 9/10/14-9/16/14 with a free dining plan (upgraded it), 6day tickets and tickets to MNSSHP. I've also booked her a visit to the Pirates League!!!

Super excited to get back to Disney, and even MORE excited to surprise her with this trip!

The Surprise!

Cannot wait to surprise DD. I don't know if I can keep the secret till September!

I am pulling her out of school (I know "bad mommy") to go on this trip, and it's a 2hr drive to the airport. So, I'm thinking of waking her at normal school time and having a gigantic box in her room. I'll tell her to open it, inside will be balloons, a personalized note and the shirt that I made for her to wear on the plane. Then I can say: "Get, dressed, we're leaving RIGHT NOW for Disney World!!!!"

She's been to WDW before, so I feel confident in surprising her. I LOL at the videos online where Disney surprises go wrong, but I think this will work because she's been and knows how exciting it is. Plus I wont be trying to trick her and tell her we are going elsewhere.

Here's the outfit I made for her to wear on the way to Disney:

Fun Stuff

A few of the things I've made for this trip (so far):

A Dress:

Autograph Book ($1 Notebook, Modgepodge & Photoshop!):

Frozen Tee Outfit:

I also bought this adorable dress for $12:

Mnsshp

So, we are really excited to experience this for the first time! I heard that most (if not all) of the kids dress up so I figured I'd get to work on DD's costume. I was trying to be sly and I asked her a bunch of questions about dressing up "hypothetically of course" the other day and she insisted that she'd want to be a Mermaid. Perfect!! So, I quickly got to work, I booked a 1:30 appointment at The Pirates Leaque on our MNSSHP day (sine we planned to be in MK that day anyways) and I bought supplies to make an Ariel costume. Then, I told DD that I was working on a costume for her for a "party we are going to" and that "its a ways away." So, she knows that she has an Ariel costume, but not really what it is for. I had to tell her because I needed measurements and I do better with draping when sewing.

Anyways, I'm thrilled with the outcome and I can't wait till she wears it for MK & MNSSHP. I'll have to stop into Ariel's grotto so they can get a picture together too!!

I love all the stuff you've made.
I'm,planning a suprise trip for my kids for October...2015:eek:
My oldest will be 13 and I too plan on making the morning like any school day surprising him with Mickey waffles and an oficial invite.
He'll have to keep mum about it since we take the autotrain, my way of surprising my younger two is have lunch once we get down to Virginia and ask the waitress to bring them a small gift bag with a tshirt similar to yours.
I don't know how I'm not gonna ruin the suprise since all I think about is disney since we decided this was a go!

Thanks :)

I'm super excited about the surprise. I can't wait to see her reaction. She is going to be stoked!!! I was thinking about doing Mickey Pancakes too, since I make these often for her I don't think she would see it as anything out of the ordinary tho. I love the idea of the box with balloons busting out of it :thumbsup2

Oh my gosh, surprising your daughter sounds like so much fun! I would have LOVED that as a kid! I'm excited to see how your surprise ends up going! And WDW during Halloween is one of the best times ever! It's gonna be so much fun!

Welcome on-board guys :)

I just got exciting news today... my boyfriend (we live together) has decided he wants to join us this trip!!!!!!! It was only $400 to add him to our trip for the week since I had some flyer points that got him a free flight! :cheer2::cheer2:

Will be moving some things around in our plans, but not by much. Changed most of our dining ressies for three with no problems!

Super exciting! He hasn't been since he was a kid, so its like its brand new again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:cheer2::cheer2:

Been super busy lately... but I had time to order some decals on Etsy and make a few more outfits :)

I just love how these turned out!!

I also was on a hunt for a Disney barbie since I remember them (90s kid here) and I found some on Ebay :goodvibes

I just received this doll and I am going to put it in my daughters "surprise box". I'm geeking out over it, haha. I do feel bad about letting her open and play with a "collectors item" so I actually got one that has some box damage (Barbie is fine). So I don't feel bad since its not "mint" condition :goodvibes The $8.99 price tag didn't hurt either!!

I love the back of the package :goodvibes

Joining in! I love all the cute outfits you made! We are going the same time as you guys, excited to hear more of your plans.

Joining in too!! We will be there the same week & we are surprising our two girls! DH has to work on our actual travel day, so we won't be getting there until about midnight (we are driving). Hoping our girls fall asleep in the car & we can wake them up when we get there & say, "Surprise! We're at Disney!" Fingers crossed...in a perfect world that's how it's going to play out, LOL.

Love all the outfits!!! I think one of the best things about planning so far has been all the cute clothes I've bought my girls.
