Surprise we are going to Disney World!! âDay 4
November 9/02
Our Cast of Characters:
Me-Vanessa-Disney Fanatic and Trip Planner Extrodinaire!
DH-Dale-Disney Lover
DS-Keewatin-10- (Kiwi for short)-Also a Disney Fanatic
Today is a jammed packed day-got our wake up call at 7:15 and were off to Animal Kingdom by 8:15. We love how close this park is to our resort, less than 5 mins in our rental car! We had a small wait before the gates open, it was so hot already! There were oodles of characters waiting so DS rushed around getting autographs and pictures-he loves doing this (so do mom and dad!). DSâs goal is to get to Primeval Whirl-minutes seen like eternity when DH decides he needs a coffee! DS and I do Primeval Whirl 2 x in a row, we didnât even need to get off! It is short roller coaster ride but so much fun-you need to like spinning around if you choose this ride. Okay itâs my turn-over to Dinosaur-no wait-yipee! Seemed to be much bumpier than last time but just as scary! Hit Itâs tough to be a bug-can there be a cuter show! DS however would not sit back so he didnât get stung or feel the critters exiting before us! We had a game plan to get a FP for Kilimanjaro Safari and do Flights of Wonder in the mean time-this is a wonderful little bird show-we all recommend it, we had birds swooping right over our heads. The Safari was nice, saw plenty of animals and took many pictures. Conservation station was not really our bag tricks-the highlight there was the talking garbage can! DH wanted nothing to do with it but DS got a kick out of talking to it, it followed him around and they had a little dance-priceless! Got autograph/pic with Pocahontas! The Pangai Forest Trail was also just a quick walk thru for us. We got to see Devine! Wow, it was so neat to see this moving vine! The park photographer was taking pics of people in front of the Tree of Life, Murphyâs law kicked in and I ran out film right then-shelled out 8.00 for another roll then where on the way! We had lunch at the Flame Tree BBQ, it was soooo good! We used the value coupon deal they were offering and had a yummy lunch and then snacks later in the day-great deal. It is so nice to sit down by the water and eat. We got a FP for Kali River Rapids and did the Maharaja Jungle Trek, we really liked the animal here, DS decided he was taking over videography duties-did a good job. It was scorching out, wanted to get a little splash on Kali but not soaked-but it was not to be-we were drenched! Decided it was time to head out, stopped by Camp Minnie and Mickey for some autographs on the way out.
So are all you readers tired yet??? Come on it is only 4:00!
Stop by the resort as we are dripping, decide on a quick swim, it was refreshing, being from the frozen north we never get to swim outside in Nov so we are taking advantage!
Okay it is Saturday evening, 5:30-where else would be heading butâ¦.you guessed it Magic Kingdom!! We arrive to find that people are already staking out spots for Spectromagic. We nabbed spots on the curb and had take out dinner from Caseyâs while waiting. Of course the parade was fantastic-I think my eyes were the widest! We moseyed on down to the castle to watch the fireworks-Loved them! We saw tinkerbell fly out of the Castle. Donât you all love the way the castle changes color along with the fireworks! Lucky for us Magic Kingdom is open late so we head over to Adventure land and do a bunch of rides for the first time! Pirates of the Caribbean-kind of cheesy! Did the Tiki Room-also cheesy but in a cute way-DS and I liked it, no wait for either of these by the way! It was now time for our FP for Jungle Cruise, our Captain was fun and it was cool to do this ride in the dark! DH wanted to do Thunder Mountain Railroad-it was awesome to do this in the dark! We trekked all the wayyyyy back to Tomorrowland as we wanted to do Space Mountain but they were all out of FP and we didnât want to wait in the line so we did Astro Orbiter, DS and I liked it for the view it offers at night time, it was a bit chilly up there by then however.
Well it is now 10:30 PM and you guessed it we are ready to collapse!
Back to the resort by bus and into to bed by midnight as we have a very exciting and early morning planned.
