When you don't know what else to get your kid for Christmas, you get the gift of Disney! DH (33), Me (34) and DS (8) will be traveling to Disney World in advance of his 9th birthday (two days after we return home.) We plan to give him the trip as a gift from mom and dad for Christmas.

Travel plans are:
Pop Century 1/22-1/26
Single park, 3 day tickets
Deluxe Dining Plan

I'll post next about our day to day plans, but our ADRs are as follows:

1900 Park Fare (dinner)

Plaza Restaurant (pre-park open breakfast)
Be Our Guest (dinner)

Garden Grille (pre-park open breakfast)
Chefs de France (Lunch)
Le Cellier (right at park closing Dinner)

Hollywood and Vine (pre-park open breakfast)
Sci-Fi Drive in and Dine (Lunch)
California Grill (late dinner)

Ohana (breakfast)
and go home :(

Will post more soon, with details next time.

Fastpass selection day is SATURDAY at 7AM!! Wish me luck. Our plan is not to plan. The following are our "Dream" Fastpasses. We will be in the parks for breakfast before rope drop and plan to skidaddle out of there and straight to our top priority ride to get it in at least once before the park fills up.

MK - SDMT, Buzz, Space Mountain
EP - Soarin', Mission Space, Frozen Ever After
HS - Slinky Dog Dash, TSM/Rock N Rollercoaster, ToT

I've never been to WDW outside of late August/early September, but I look forward to doing so in January. We spent a lot of time in as many indoor attractions and welcomed long lines due to the heat, and having a pulmonary disabled son. Hoping that we can take advantage of lower crowd forecasts and enjoy the parks to the max as we always have around Labor day.

ARRIVAL DAY!
Our desired flights (booking this weekend) will depart the northeast around 7-8AM and put us in Orlando before noon. We'll pack light, with a carry on each, and take ME to the resort. We have been to Disney five times as a couple/family, and only once did we stay outside of Pop. It's home to us! After we check in and leave our carry on's in the room/with bell services, we will head to Disney Springs.

At DS, our must do list is short. Lego stores are a plenty here at home, but DS loves Legos, so we will likely take a stop there. World of Disney, and other souvenir shops are a requirement on this day, so we don't spend as much time at the parks looking for trinkets for home.

Souvenir list:
- Magnets. Budget $25 total
- three to four new Christmas ornaments. Budget $80 total
- gifts for nieces (3, 6, 9) and nephews (5, 10): a tee shirt/sweatshirt and either a stuffy, craft kit, something with candy. We budget $50 per kid.
- maybe a hat for DH. No set budget.
- whatever strikes our fancy

We're not the kind of travelers that stick to a "eat breakfast in the room, pack snacks, and watch your dollars." While I appreciate in a profound way those that can travel like that, we're used to all-inclusive, pack light vacations that are dripped in whatever trappings we want... because we only do these but once every 18 months or so.

We will leave DS by around 5PM, and head to the Grand Floridian.

At GF, we'll look around, do a resort tour of our own, and then head to our dinner reservation at 1900 Park Fare. I am probably most excited for this out of all our ADR's. We only have 4 new restaurants this go around, and 1900PF is one of them! I cannot wait to see Cinderella again, meet her Prince Charming and get to banter with Lady Tremaine, Drizella and Anastasia. Once at MK, they stopped my husband to see if he wouldn't mind marrying Drizella. Looked "like he has a vast kingdom, indeed." I picked on him for years over that comment. That's what he gets for wearing his "boujee" designer polos to the parks instead of custom tees like I want him to.

After dinner, we'll maybe take a ride around the monorail, and eventually make our way back to Pop. Day 2 in the MAGIC KINGDOM with a super early start. Can't wait!!
