14 days (or maybe 22 days) until WDW!
**************************************************
Hey, ya'll!
Okay, well... She put in her notice today. She did keep her word, and wrote it up with her last day of work being April 18th, the day that everything is hinging on.
However...
She has made it clear that she's miserable, and only sticking around to help me out, and that there's a good chance she may not make it until the 18th. My manager has made it clear that she would rather her just go as well, but isn't telling her to do so for one reason... me and this trip.

Both of which just make me feel.. awful.
So... I just have an overwhelming feeling that I am going to end up having to work on April 18th.

Therefore I think it might be time to tell ya'll about my contingency plan, and beg for some of that feedback that I treasure so much from ya'll.
A little about the alternate plan: My manager, Rachel (who, I should note, is also my best local friend and my "work wife"), is allowing me to take a vacation day on either Friday, April 24 or Monday, April 27 so that I can push the trip back a week (since she'll be here to cover the office).
A few days ago, I called and checked on military discount rooms for that following weekend, and April 24-26 (Fri-Sun) was going to be more expensive than April 25-27 (Sat-Mon). But even then, no value resorts. I was able to get Port Orleans French Quarter (which I've always wanted to stay at anyhow) at a good price, but not as good as the price I got for April 17-19 at All-Star Movies, obviously. But I went ahead and locked it in anyhow, just so that I had it should I need it.
Since then, I've been crunching numbers and plotting and planning and crunching more numbers. There are pros and cons to changing my weekend, but the biggest con is sort of the overruling factor... An additional $300 to make it happen.

Mostly in the hotel upcharge, and the fact that I'll have to rent a car (if you recall, I was going to drive Rachel's down originally because my own car isn't road-trip worthy). That's driving the final costs up much higher than I ever planned on paying for this weekend getaway.
That being said, Rachel is sympathetic to my plight, and has offered that I MIGHT be able to just borrow her car for the weekend instead of renting one. She's going to talk to her husband tonight and make sure he can run her to work on the Saturday and Monday I will be gone, and let me know the answer this weekend. Fingers crossed on that one!
So, speaking of pros and cons, I made a chart, like any good little planner would:
What would ya'll do? Do you think that $700-$800 is just TOO MUCH to spend for just ONE day the parks? Or is it worth it, and should I just bite the bullet and do it?

HALP PLZ!!!
