Hi all!

I'm a longtime DIS-er, working hard to save up enough to take my kids at least every two years most of their young lives. I'm thrilled that my daughter, who is getting married in November, has chosen to honeymoon at POFQ. I'd love to hire someone to decorate their room and leave them gifts. I searched around the site, and it seems that this service might have faded away. Aside from the official WDW florist/gift service (which is incredibly limited), is anyone still doing this? If folks aren't allowed to post their websites or other info, please DM me with any contact information.

TIA!
Jo

I know there was a thread on this recently, but I can't find it. It might have been on one of the DVC Boards.

The person asking was going to be one of the people travelling. Someone suggested going to the Facebook group for Disney cast members who have been laid off. You might find someone that way, but then there is the issue of them getting into your room. You can add them to your reservation if you are not over the capacity limit for your room. This would allow them to go into your room when you aren't there. Then the question becomes whether you are comfortable giving someone you don't know access to your room when you aren't there -- some people are concerned about theft, some people are concerned about COVID germs.

In your case, you aren't on the reservation so I don't see how you could arrange for someone to get into the room.

I don't know your daughter and son-in-law, but I wonder whether they would prefer that your hard-earned money be spent on something other than decorating. Maybe a Disney gift card which they can use for a meal at a restaurant that normally would be out of their price range? Pre-COVID, there were things like behind-the-scenes tours, fireworks cruises. The only way to ensure someone will go into the room to decorate is to go through Disney Floral and Gifts.

You are being incredibly thoughtful, but I would give them a gift card to spend any way they'd like.
