Surprise Hurricane Alex............1st of the season.

Well here is a new one.....a Hurricane in January and expected to head west........ARRRRHHHHH!

It's supposed to be a bad year for hurricanes. Who would of thought it will start in January

Saw that on the news. Geez, I thought seeing love bugs this early in the year was bad.

This is a true anomaly. It is the first hurricane to form in January since 1938. It will head west.... into Greenland. This will have no impact on cruising at all, but is very interesting if you are a weather nerd.

What the heck?! If the season starts this early they may have to use double letter names. What would come after Aaron, I wonder...

They actually roll into the Greek Alphabet (Alpha, Beta....) names when we exhaust 26 named storms in a season.

In Orlando, we had light rain from about 1 AM until 11:00 AM. Then we had a monsoon for about 30 minutes with big winds and side driving rain.
Then it got sunny and warmer than it has been in days. It was incredible.
I would love hurricanes to actually BE like this instead of the ones that come in slow and can't make up their minds for a few days.
