Surprise Disney Trip for DS 10th Birthday Can we Make it Happen?

:Welcome: glad you could make it over yep cash is coming in as my home business is that I bred Hedgehog and Sugar Gliders and have had two hedgies get adopted so there is another $254 for Disney and got another hedgie going home tomorrow for $75 so up to $329 to pay to Disney on Monday YEA YEA YEA. Still have another hedgie for adoption still so will hopefully find his new home soon and got 2 pair of Sugar Gliders as well that we are keeping our fingers crossed on that they will be adopted soon too.

Well keeping the secret from Patrick our DS has been more difficult then expected for me at least. Patrick started acting uninterested in going to Disney and was in the verge of tears one night saying we might want to look at something less expensive for vacation.

He's starting to act a little bit more interested and we got him to let us know that he would be more interested in attending The "Spring Break Bash" a celebration very similar to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party instead of going to the Behind the Steam Train tour.

Dani did good coming up with the name in a hurry.

Had a couple of things come up that have forced us to tighten our budget but still looks like we are on track to get everything paid off in time. Unfortunately the biggest money maker we have available doesn't happen till after the final payment is due.

No kiddie I am getting ready to muzzle you if it wasn't the first week of school I am sure DS would have figured out what was going on due to you consistently bringing up going to Disney world (shakes finger at you) Just relax we only have 69 more days to keep quiet. And no worries the Gods will lead us through we only have $459 left to come up with we can do it

Okay so for those out other on a budget wanted to let you know what I found yesterday at Joann's..did you know you can buy Lanyard material in assorted colors/characters at Joannes and at our I was lucky to discover that there was some on clearance which I got for my friends who are going to the world in Oct and thanks to our son giving their son some of our e-bay trading pins are into pin trading. Now I had order my friends son a lanyard when I order Patrick's new one cause they came two to a pack. However now my friends and their daughter are intersected so I pick up a few yards of the three that were on clearance (a blue sparkle one with sparkles tracing out hearts/glass slippers/castles for their 4 yr DD) Nemo for my friend and her husband got Pooh and honey jars as his nickname is Pooh. Then I tried to find the fasteners to make them into lanyards and though they had some cheap ones over in the kids craft I didn't think they would work well I found in the dollar bin a couple sport lanyards so I picked those up (I had gotten their DD a thin lanyard I had found for a quarter somewhere) and I know my friend sew person that she is will take the sport lanyards apart and use the fasteners on the Disney material and the fastener off of her DD cheap cow printed one) and for less then $5 all three of them will have custom made Disney pin lanyards Also think I am going to go and get more the blue sparkle one and have her help me redo my Tinkerbell one cause that is pretty tore up.

So there you go for anyone else who is on a budget cheap fun and fancy lanyards!!!

Well its been awhile since I have posted but wanted to let you all know how things are going....

Got the lanyard material now just need to get those made up...

Found Terri's T-Shirt Designs on here and got some great ideas made into patterns to be printed out and ironed onto shirts *which will save some major Disney cash as it was only $40 for the 12 shirts and 15 irons on (way more then we need but I figure that way if I mess up on a couple I will still be good plus I can't see spending $7.99 for 3 when I can get 5 for $9.99)

Speaking of Disney money we paid another $230 to Disney last Friday so now we are down to JUST....$229.16 so YEP this TRIP is SOOO GOING TO HAPPEN....

Patrick has also been getting more excited as my DH checked out a book about hidden facts about Disney World that our son found and have been reading it like crazy...can't wait to touch the water from all the different bodies of water in the world. And see if we can find that magic spot to here Stitch whisper to my son "Shhh I'm Hiding"


Now things have gotten really funny around our house as my DH has been a Ham Radio Op for years and has been pushing me to get my Ham Radio Lic for FOREVER .
And I am like I don't do Emergency Acts and can't see WHY on earth I NEED it but he has been like a dog with a bone cause according to him it will make it soooo much easier to commute at the World...this has me really confused cause we are all going to be together at the world... so why do we need to be able to contact the other???

But finally I was like "FINE I'll do the class for 400 Disney Pins..) I WAS JUST joking but he took me serious so cool I will get to make him happy AND have 400 pins to trade at the world.. I will happily take 400 pins to trade Men you gotta LOVE them.....

So now we are only 51 days out and our DS still has NO IDEA this SOOO might work...if it does it Will Be the first Surprise I have ever pulled off...so Ladies keep your fingers crossed for me that DH stops dropping all the hints and that our son doesn't hop onto here and found about the BIG Surprise

Well tickets showed up in the mail along with the magic express luggage tags and we managed to keep DS from seeing them so looks like we are doing okay on keeping it under wraps.

Working off duty this weekend out at the speedway to bring in extra $$$ for the trip

It's getting close and can't wait.

Okay DH extra money came in so MNSSHP and the upgrade to 7 day PH tickets are done. Now as some of you may remember we had ordered some pins back in March for this trip (that went missing after our move) and we are so glad we did as our best friends are heading to Disney on Monday (for a last trip with their mother/grandmother who is fading fast) and we had gotten both of their kids all excited to trade pins by giving them both lanyards and some pins.

But what should I find out yesterday when they came by to visit but that due to their life getting completely insane THEY FORGOT TO ORDER PINS from Ebay for their family. Now what kind of friends would we be if we made them have to buy their pins there in the park, so in the spirit of friendship we offered them the pins we had on hand. They of course were shocked and would only accept them if we let them pay us for them which we understood and did. So now they have 166 pins to split between their two kids and we used the money from them plus the amount we had set aside and order 500 pins last night(which we have already gotten the e-mail that they have been shipped)

So its *15* Days until our DS Surprise Birthday Party but will we be able to keep the surprises NOW????

Weelllll we aren't sure see DS school doesn't have out their student directory so I had to hand deliver the invites to the party which tell about BOTH surprises and despite the fact that I wrote "For the Parents of such and such kid" I saw and heard as the only girl invited started to read it out loud the letter that was included in the invite to the parents telling them of the plans thankfully Patrick wasn't anywhere near us.

Sooo now the question comes will Patrick be told about his TWO surprises (His Surprise Party on Oct 29th) and THE SURPRISE TRIP TO DISNEY FOR HIS BIRTHDAY???? We will have to wait until DH goes and get DS from school to find out...the good news is that the chance MAY be low as our DS goes to his gifted school today so is only in his normal school for like 5 mins and normally is picked up by DH the minute he is back Sooo if he doesn't come home with the news today then due to his school NOT having school tomorrow WE MAY be in the clear check back in later to see what happens....

Thanks we are super excited expectantly since all Patrick had to tell us yesterday after school was about a new smilie face command he had learned at his gifted school. Sooo YYEEEAAAAA the SURPRISE IS STILL UNKNOWN ONLY 14 Days to go!!!!

Unfortunately we can't control everything.

Glad I got luggage for my birthday since I'm living out of it for 4 of the next 5 weeks.

2 Weeks out of town training for work.
1 Week at Disney
1 Week at Work with split job duties between patrol and the new job.
1 Week out of town training.

The joys of being reassigned to the investigation unit.

Sooo we are down to my last day of work and I thought I would do a recap of the last two weeks. As my DH mentioned earlier he has been out of town at Training since Oct 17th he came home for 2 nights and 1 day before he had to head back up there. Needless to say our DH has been very upset over this so has been spending every moment with me so between that and work being insane I couldn't get on here However wanted to do a update:

Tomorrow will be packing and then Tomorrow NIGHT is the PARTY where Patrick will discover that we are going to Disney World!!!! I don't know if I will have pics of that or not tomorrow night but I definitely will when we start updating with pics of us at the World when we arrive there Saturday afternoon. Until then everyone keep your fingers crossed that we can still keep the secret
