Surf and Turf Disney Style…..30 days of food on land and at sea! 06/16 WPE

We stayed at POR last year on the dining plan we couldn't fit a visit in :rotfl: oh how I wish we had now, looks very tempting and certainly on the ever growing dining list for next year :thumbsup2

Well thanks a lot! Now you just made me add another ADR to our already belly expanding list!! I hope you&Tom are proud of yourselves! ;)

I am so sorry!
Boatwright's was really wonderful and you won't regret making that ADR. We cannot wait until we get back there next August. :goodvibes

Glad y'all enjoyed Boatwright's, now you need to come to New Orleans!;)

New Orleans is definitely on my "to visit" list! :thumbsup2

Oh, your review makes me so happy that I have an ADR there for December. We went last September, and liked it...but so many people have not cared for it. I am glad you had a nice meal. I don't know which looks or sounds better. Yours or Tom's meal!!!

I had a reservation at Boatwright's in the beginning, but then changed it because of the many mediocre reviews. We were so glad after the meal that we changed it back, as we really really LOVED it there.

I agree! WHO DAT! :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2

I have alot to think about :wizard::wizard: and i have to make it to DL california when cars land opens before making it overseas this i promised everyone :sad2:

Now I Really need to have second where we eat next trip I really need to start learning there are more places to eat with good food in disney and the real funny part is we are always eating at POFQ but never went to Boatright's or riverside the food looks simply to die for .

Jeff, you DO know that there is a Toy Story Land in DLRP, just so you can make plans! :rotfl2:
Tom and I want to go back to DL California some day soon too! And now that we are DVC members the decision is going to be even easier! :lmao:

Boatwright's is a wonderful place to eat! I wish they would resume doing breakfast again - their Banana stuffed French Toast was to die for! :thumbsup2

Skip is a HUGE pecan pie lover. (I don't like it). We may have to give this place a try in the future. It's nver been on my radar before.

It was something that was completely new to us, no such thing in Austria and Tom really liked it.
You should definitely consider it for a future trip! The food was wonderful!

Wow! That meal at Boatwright's looks amazing!

You are making our ADR decisions for next year very tough Karin!:lmao:

What about putting a few new restaurants on your list for next year ....... and Boatwright's should be one of them!
ADR decisions ...... what a hard job to do! I am so glad that in February we already have our CG ressie and the other night we want to eat at the Top of the World Lounge. Ressies DONE!!!!! (well, apart from the one I wanna make at Palo's :rotfl2:)

Your meal at Boatwright's looks so good. We'll have to try it someday.

It is definitely worth it to go to POR to have a nice leisurely meal at Boatwright's. :thumbsup2

Your meal looks great! I have been looking into my next trip and debating where to stay. After reading about your meal I am tempted to make it POR! :rotfl:

Your dessert just had me drooling!

We LOVE POR! We have stayed there many a times. The ferry to DTD (and WPE) is wonderful too! :rotfl2:

That breadpudding was really wonderful - the ice-cream melted all over it and mixed with the Foster sauce - sooooooo good! :thumbsup2

Mmm that meal looks great! I've always wanted to try Boatwright's.

You should give it a try - we have had two dinners there and LOVED both!

We stayed at POR last year on the dining plan we couldn't fit a visit in :rotfl: oh how I wish we had now, looks very tempting and certainly on the ever growing dining list for next year :thumbsup2

Oh, you should have tried it! Our meal was really wonderful! :thumbsup2
Well, another reason to go back to Disney and try for yourself. :goodvibes

Day 4, August 16

Wolfgang Puck's Express

We slept in a little and drove over to Downtown Disney to spend a CS credit for breakfast at WPE!

Tom didn't want a hot drink so we ordered

a Diet Coke for Tom and some of the really nice organic Earl Grey Tea for me.

It didn't take long until our breakfast arrived. Tom ordered

Wolfgang's Breakfast Pocket, Scrambled eggs, peppers, ham, onions, mushrooms, mozzarella and cheddar cheese baked into Wolfgang's pizza dough. It's his staple, he loves it. The breakfast potatoes that come with it and crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, and spiced up with herbs.
The pocket itself is full of flavour from the ham, onions, peppers and cheddar cheese. :thumbsup2

I was SURE what to order ...

the Smoked Bacon Pizza - scrambled eggs, tomatoes, mozzarella and cheddar cheese and Ranch Dressing. Let me tell you, this is my all time favourite breakfast. The pizza base is thin and nicely baked, the eggs are creamy and work well with the cheeses. The fresh tomatoes add a lot of freshness and everything is drizzled with Ranch Dressing - what's not to like?

What we saved using the FREE Disney Dining Plan:
Total number of credits - 16 TS, 16 CS and 16 snacks
TS: Boatwright's: 73,40 $ (14 TS credits remain)
CS: WPE: 26 $ (10 CS credits remain)
Snacks: Mickey Bar: 3,50 $ (15 credits remain)

Total saved: 178,30$

Next up - Mama Melrose

I'm telling you and food pictures are amazing right down to the drink . I like what Tom ordered that looks GOOOOOD and what you had looks great . we have gone to WGP but i never knew they did breakfest . I should be ashamed I feel like a real novice disney lover now :lmao::rotfl2: But thank my disney stars I got a great Teacher now :worship::worship:

Mmm breakfast at WPE look soo good! :thumbsup2

We only made it here for lunch/dinner but I think next time I'm going to make more of an effort to eat here for breakfast.

Never had breakfast at WPE but looks yummy~~~
I'm drooling over both breakfast pizza and pocket! Why didn't I think of driving to WPE for breakfast when we were getting sick of eating at Sassagoula? :confused3

You should come out on one of your February trips. I keep telling DH we should go to Disneyland for Valentine's Day. Maybe we will see you there! :)

WOW! Those desserts look amazing!!:cloud9: I always think I'm all set on reservations, then something that looks like this, jumps out @ me. I had rum raisin ice cream on a cruise once & it was awesome, to say the least!! The pecan pie looks reason enough to head to POR. Hmmmm..maybe I should replace Turf Club???

I've never really had Boatwright's on my rader before, but I do now! It looks good. Maybe next time I stay at POFQ or POR I could try eating there.

WPE looks good as always. I'd really like to try that breakfast pizza you had Karin.

Oh my goodness...ranch on a breakfast pizza??? That sounds absolutely amazing. I hadn't planned to go to WPE on my next trip but I think that now I have to do it! And your dinner at Boatwrights looks fabulous! I love your reviews. :lovestruc

I already knew we'd be doing lunch/dinner at WPE,thanks to your glowing reviews, but know we apparently have to add breakfast also!! You are a dangerous woman to read about ;)

Yum, yum, YUM!!!

That breakfast looks delicious.....:lovestruc

We are determind to try lots of new places next year - as well as visiting some old favourites!

You really have to try WPE for breakfast - that breakfast pizza is to die for and the pocket is equally delish! :thumbsup2

MMMMM Karin you're making me really want some breakfast. That pocket and pizza look so delicious! :goodvibes

They both are so good - it's past dinner time here, and I am craving some breakfast pizza. ;) :lmao:

Jeff, you really need to try WPE for breakfast - they have a yum waffle as well! ;)
But I would really suggest you try the breakfast pizza - sooooooooo good! :thumbsup2

Mmm breakfast at WPE look soo good! :thumbsup2

We only made it here for lunch/dinner but I think next time I'm going to make more of an effort to eat here for breakfast.

It's wonderful for breakfast, and their dishes are huge enough to share! I tried the cornflakes french toast and while I love a good french toast I could not even finish half of it ..... but it was SO good! :thumbsup2
You really should it put on your list for next time! :goodvibes

Never had breakfast at WPE but looks yummy~~~
I'm drooling over both breakfast pizza and pocket! Why didn't I think of driving to WPE for breakfast when we were getting sick of eating at Sassagoula? :confused3

You never tried it? You definitely should, such a wonderful breakfast spot and VERY good value for money if you are on the DDP! :thumbsup2
We always drive, saves a lot of time not having to wait for buses. And you always get a seat! :rotfl2:

You should come out on one of your February trips. I keep telling DH we should go to Disneyland for Valentine's Day. Maybe we will see you there! :)

I wish we could go to Disneyland in February, but I only get a week off and flying to Florida is long enough. ;) I am not sure I can cope with a 9 hour time change for just that short time (I only get a week off).
But we have already made plans for a trip to California :cloud9: (we have been several times before and I just LOVE it there) in 2013! :thumbsup2

Never been to WPE, but think I will have to on our next trip.

I hope you can fit it in ....... it is a wonderful place to have breakfast, lunch or dinner! Friendly service and really good food! :thumbsup2

There are just too many restaurants and too little time at WDW! :lmao: We were so happy with our meal at Boatwright's. Rum raisin ice-cream is quite common here, but I just wanted to try the US version. .... it was just as good as at home. :goodvibes
And as far as the Turf Club goes - we loved that too, we went there in 2009 and really enjoyed the food there too!
