Sure love those BWV points

Holy smokes, the BWV are sold out of studios and two bedrooms for the week starting Oct 7, 2007. The seven month window has not opened yet. Sure glad I own some BWV I can use to book the BWV during food and wine fest. I have a standard view two bedroom booked, thank goodness. The BCV also has no studios available.

I suppose I should bookmark this thread for all those who say they NEVER have a problem booking a resort at the 7 month window!

I know, I know...people can waitlist and have success. But why go through that headache? It's just not for me!

All types studios and two bedrooms are gone some one bedrooms remain. It still about 10 days before the seven month window opens.

If memory serves, that was busy even in the parks when I went two years ago. The previous week was calm though.

We just bought in at BWV this month and made reservations for the following week 10th thru 21st- which was nearly gone as well. Had tried to get days at a studio during Halloween - but there were only a few days with availability - and not consecutive.

Got a studio (standard view only) for 12th thru 21st when we called two weeks ago - but my understanding is that most times/studio rooms during the F&W Festival - especially during the week before Halloween - are gone.

The reason we bought at BWV was for this exact concern - making sure we got a room (regardless of the view) during the F&W Festival. We go nearly every year, and DVC would ave been wasted on another resort for us. Hooray for the 11 month window!!

Only seven months or so to go!

Mel...I've swung more to the camp of Buy Where You Don't Mind Staying. I think that for a significant number of DVC owners, they just aren't as focused on staying at a particular resort and if they are happy "just being at WDW" then home resort is not as key. In this case, my guess is VWL, SSR and OKW still have availability and if someone is okay staying at one of those, then home resort is not as critical.

In this case, the resort is not even available during the entire 7-11 month booking advantage! Obviously, F & W Festival is a huge draw for DVCers wanting to stay at BWV & BCV.

Oh drat! I was really hoping to possibly switch from BWV to BC at 7mos - my son really wants to stay at BC for SAB! Guess all along I really knew we wouldn't have a snowball's chance in heck - but I was wishin'. . . maybe I'll try for a w/l anyway...of course for me staying at our beloved BW with a BW view ain't so bad...

Yesterday I confirmed a BWV standard view studio for next January 20. One week at the BWV for 85 points. This is cheap. Did Disney make a mistake when setting up the standard view room point structure? On Jauary 27, it's the four night Disney cruise for our 30th anniversay. Now I will need to reserve Palos on the 28th. Don't anyone tell the wife. Laeving in an hour for OKW. It sure is fun not working so hard anymore.

we've been on a waitlist for night of oct 7 (BW view studio) since the beginning of january. (we did get 9/29 thru 10/7, and many of the nights were the "last BW view studio available").
we've a standard view 1 bdrm as a backup.

yup, glad we have points at BWV! (btw, also own at BCV & SSR, but use those mostly for less popular times).

I just switched over today to the BWV and easily got a 2 bed w/ boardwalk view for Sept 28-Oct 2nd. We'll get there the first day of the F&WF. I may have had an easier time since it's not over any type of school vacation. I'm trying to take advantage of the fact that both kids aren't in school yet! I don't think I'll bother trying to switch at the 7 month window once we start going over school breaks and holidays! This will be our first stay at BWV. I'm very excited!
