I just upgraded our seats for tomorrow to business class. When I checked our booking today there was a message to upgrade for a reasonable charge

Anyways there was an area to order dinner. or it said you can do it later. I figured I would do it when I check in we’ll since we leave tomorrow we had errands I didn’t get to check in for2 hrs after our 24 hr mark.
So now there’s no option to order dinner I sure hope they feed us. LOL.
Anything I can do thanks

Nothing you can do- they’ll still feed you. It just means that depending on when they get to you, they may not have the entree of your choice. They pack x number of each, and depending on what people ask for, they may or may not have your preferred. Ordering ahead just means they have your choice already noted and set aside. Either way it’s probably still a nice meal. Enjoy the leg room!

Yes, they will feed you! If you are in one of the last rows they may be out of your preferred entree. If you have dietary restrictions you can try mentioning it to the stewardess when you board to see if they can hold something back for you if there is truly something you cannot eat. I suspect if you had something like that though you would have ordered right away..! I will say you never can tell with airline food though, even in first class. My husband and I often get one of each and share; sometimes what I thought was the hands down winner would be awful and I'd like his more! :rolleyes1

You'll do it like you do in economy class - order on the flight. Many airlines are starting to offer pre-order in business class but you can still do it normally. When they offer it, any airlines I've been on stops allowing pre-ordering 24 hours before flight time (so you cannot do it at check-in).

One tweak to AquaDame - some airlines (and I don't fly BA/AA, so I cannot speak for them) don't do business class meal ordering from front-to-back (or, at least, don't prioritize them that way), they do it by status. So, I have top-tier status on two airlines (well, three since FlyingBlue covers Air France and KLM) and they'll come ask me for my food order first (or one of the first, if there are other top-tier flyers). They take your orders before take-off (usually) not as they're bringing the food around).

Nothing you can do because there is nothing you need to do.

In addition, yes, it is possible they run out of your choice. However, the chances of this happening are usually lower than in Economy. In my experience, that is.

Which airline and how many flight hours?

It’s American Airlines and it’s about an 8 hr flight. I was afraid that if I didn’t pre order Thst would mean I Thst I didn’t want a dinner. Thanks all

Always good to select meals at your earliest opportunity. However, for that long of a flight you will get fed. As others noted, it just might not be your preferred option (that's all selecting meals ahead of time does is tell the airline which one you want). They have to 'cut off' meal selection at some point so they can get a count of how much they need of each meal. But you'll definitely get fed!
