Background
Me- 49 year Disney Dad and geek
DD1 - 20 year old college junior at UNC Chapel Hill - loves Disney
DD2 - 18 year old college freshman at Uinversity of Kentucky - pre-nursing and Disney lover
DD1 had plans to be on the college program this semester but did not get accepted. Which was a hard few days. One of her housemates is on the college program this semester.
DD1 and DD2 have grown up going to WDW (with one trip to Disneyland thrown in the mix). They has the exact same weeks for spring break, so we hatched a plan to send them down to WDW as their main Christmas gift. My parents gave them money for tickets, we gave them points for a DVC room plus pledged money for transportation. We ended giving them a set amount for food and gas they could have in place of airplane tickets as they drove down.
Both DD1 and DD2 came to me at different times, wanting me to join them. We are known as the 3 mouseketeers in the family. I had pledged that this was their trip, as they are 6 plus hours apart plus I had been twice in the last 2 months to WDW. And that was the plan. UNTIL
A week before their trip, my wife approached the idea that I would go down and surprise them. She knew they really wanted me to come. And I was having a real tough time at work. I got up, and found a relatively cheap for us (Charlotte has pretty few options for cheap airfare) one way flight early in morning Wednesday into MCO. I ordered tickets, and got the flight.
1. Executing the plan
2. The actual Surprise
3. Day 1- Off to Epcot
4. End of Epcot - Character Meet
5. Day 1 continues
6. A detour to talk about Handicapped at WDW
7. A quick trip to AK
8. The last hurrah begins
9. The last hurrah concludes
10. We head home
11. My remarks
