supplies to cook with in the room?

We are using someone's DVC for the first time this year. I am not sure what comes in the room for preparing/eating meals so I am not sure what we need to bring. Are the plates, cups, utensils reusable or disposable? If they are reusable, do they have sponges and soap, or should I pack that? We aren't planning on doing any big time cooking, just sandwich making, using the microwave etc.

Can anyone let me know. I don't want to end up eating on paper towels the whole time but if I pack everything in our luggage and it is all there, my husband will think I'm nuts . Thanks for any help, we are at OKW if that helps.

Are you staying in a studio or in a larger accommodation? Studios have paper plates and bowls, plastic cutlery and glass/ceramic drinking glasses and coffee mugs. There are also a few items like a can opener, pretty dull knife , corkscrew. In a 1-bedroom or larger there are real dishes and flatware, measuring cups/spoons, some basic utensils. Dishtowels, sponges and a small bottle of soap are provided. There are also paper towels.

There will be 1-2 courtesy coffee service packs (filter pack) but no other coffee filters, no salt/pepper, etc.

Don't forget you can always order via one of the grocery dervices or send down a box of things you think you'll need.

We pack coffee filters & buy the ground Kenyan coffee over at AKL. There is also 'Mickey' coffee at all the resort shops.

You may want to pack some dryer sheets & a small bit of powdered laundry soap, unless you use the services or pay for soap powder there

Our studio did not have glass drinking glasses, just the disposable ones.
Also no knife....I will pack one next time.
Just a can opener and a corkscrew.

You could also just run water through the coffee maker and use the water for your oatmeal so the bowl doesn't get too hot or flimsy.
