We're staying at the Wyndham Resort on I-Drive,it's close to the intersection of Sandlake Rd. Does anyone know of a supermarket nearby? On some mornings I will be getting on I-4 near there and don't want to back track too far down I-Drive to a market. Thanks.

Hello eeyorsmom-

When we stayed on I-drive near sandlake rd. we found a huge shopping center right up the road. When you're coming to the intersection of I-drive and sandlake (with I-4 on your left)make a right turn onto sandlake rd. Go about 3 minutes drive (you'll pass John Young pkwy.) On your right is a huge shopping area, Grocery store and super- Walmart.

You can also go up Kirkman and hit a Publix. I think it's a few miles away from Universal. There's also a Super K-Mart around Sand Lake and Turkey Lake.

You may also see "Super Markets" around I-Drive. The only thing super about these places are the super high prices! :) Go to Wal-Mart or Publix where the prices are more reasonable. The Wal-Mart on Sand Lake and John Young is pretty big!

Thank you, just the info I need.!Does anyone know if they're open as early as 7am?

If you head south about a mile on I drive to Central Fla parkway (Sea World) make a left on parkway and go about 1/4 mile , you will find a publix market

Publix.com will locate a store on a map and indicate the direction, address
and miles from your zip code. :bounce:

Hi Mom, you didnt say why you would be on I-4 in the morning. It jams up pretty bad & I would stay away from it. If you want to go to WDW just take I drive south till it ends. It will curve around to the right and onto 536 which takes you right into Disney. It is just a short ride. If you want to go to Sea World just take I Drive down to Central Fla Parkway and make a right. If you want to go to Universal take I Drive north to Unoversal Blvd and make a left. Avoid I-4 if you can as it backs up all day long especially in the area of 535, 536 (WDW area)
