Ok, we decided to scrap the Groundhog Day party (two of our best friends will be out of town), and do a Superbowl Party instead. I've already ordered some 2010 plates and napkins and some football lights.
We're not big football people and have only been to a couple other Superbowl Parties. We have a 65" tv, comfy sofas and chairs (and a 48" downstairs, if there's overflow). I plan on having soft drinks, beer, possibly a bottle or two of wine, a bunch of finger foods (and I also thought about making chili, but honestly am a little worried about spills), and a chart for bets.
Is there anything else I'm missing? Anything that's usually expected? We also have a deck with comfy furniture and we'll add a firepot and maybe a couple of new cheap fleece blankets for those who want to go outside to smoke.
What do you like or what have you always wished for at a Superbowl party (sorry, no strippers
)?
