alright- my sister talked me into a super-mega spur of the moment (road trip- me/her and our kids) to Disneyland!

It will be her first time to any Disney park! I'm so excited! :)

Okay questions real quick please! We're leaving in the morning and boy, the mega-planner in me is kinda freaking out about the short notice!

Can you still transfer days leftover on non-expire WDW park hoppers to make them into day passes for Disneyland? Just need to make sure we can still do that since 2 of us still have many days left on our tickets. I know last year I traded one of those days for a day at DL for my husband..... the one day he was there.... but I just want to make sure they still allow that?
(and if it's a park hopper ticket at WDW- will the one day pass at DL be a park hopper also and work for either park? DH's did last year- we spent one day going to both parks that day- but just want to make sure it still works the same?)

Also what's the weather like there this week? I gotta pack pronto! haha I hope the driving conditions from Tx to Ca are okay this week.... just thought of that. haha

not sure about the tickets, Ive never been to wdw but the weather is great, sunny, 70s, no rain in the forecast.

Wow, that is a super spur of the moment trip! I would love to be able to do something like that! I hope you have a great time!

I know. It's crazy!!!!!! But we're doing it anyway!
hehe
I read another thread that was Feb- so I assume that's recent enough to know we can still trade a WDW PH non-expire day for a DL day. That'll save us some money. :)

I'd thought about taking a trip just me and kids (since DH can't get more time off from work- before our vacation in Sept) but I'd basically decided against it... such a long drive and the cost of airfare would be ridiculous.... etc. So it's kinda weird that my sister up and decides she wants to go suddenly.... for the first time. haha

But woohoo.... I get to see Captain EO! haha

Actually today was in the 80's and the rest of the week looks about the same. A gorgeous week weatherwise.:goodvibes

Right now, at about 8:30 p.m.,it's still 69 there-so still nice.:goodvibes

81 high on Tuesday and 80 on Wed. :sunny: High 70's Th. and Friday.

Enjoy the pool!

The world famous, or should I state quite possibly, infamous, Madame Leota is relaying to me that the weather during your visit will be clear, and warm, where later in the day it will be darker then darkest still, with weather becoming possibly clear and warm or not.
She says that the spirits have also told her that they are not as wonderful at prognosticating the weather as they are or can be anyway, in doing so for one's love life.
So therefore, please do not quote the ghosties...... one thing for certain that they all have agreed upon, and are most unanimous on it, is that you will have a most wonderful and magical time while visiting the land, and the tarnished State of California, aka the state of disrepair.

How fun ~ let us know how it goes, where are you staying?

Had a great time!
We stayed at the Best Western Stovall's Inn- not bad.... had a microwave, fridge, clean... the only issue was parking one night.. they charge for parking each night but apparently they also charge by the hour for non-guests and apparently sometimes they oversell their parking spaces. Had a bit of an issue finding a place to park (even in non "parking spots") one night- but they didn't charge us for that night, so it all worked out. They said they were going to deal with the issues of that happening again.
It wasn't exactly across the street- really.... across the street from DTD parking maybe. LOL but it wasn't completely impossible- it was basically on a corner and we had to walk up about a block and went thru Grand Californian to DTD to get to the parks. It worked out fine... for the price. :)

The weather was beautiful. We only got a bit chilly one evening- but it was a lot easier to go back to where were staying and change/grab jackets than it would be at Disney World. :)

How did the ticket stuff work out? I know that there are constantly questions, but sometimes people don't come back to update, so it would be great to get a recent experience!

Welcome back! :)

Awesome that you had a wonderfully magical time!
