We are finishing off 4 days in BEAUTIFUL Clearwater Beach. I can't say enough about the beach itself and the Hyatt! We picked up a couple of beach chairs to sit in while on the beach and we have a use for them at home. We just need to get them there. We flew Southwest and we have a checked bag allowance that we can use for the but I just need to put them in something so they won't be totally destroyed. They are about 24" square and I don't care if that something falls completely apart when we get home. We have a direct flight so it really doesn't have to last for long ;). I am thinking of maybe a cheap-o garment bag. Any ideas where I might pick something up?

Is there an IKEA in the area? They have these great bags that would hold the chairs. The material has nylon in it so it is strong. They are only a few bucks each. The bags won't prevent damage, but they are lightweight. Otherwise SWA will just put them in garbage bags.

Buy a box that's big enough to hold the chairs. Make sure the box isn't oversized. Home Depot is as good a place as any.

Good point! SWA will charge for oversize and overweight bags (over 50 lbs)

If these are inexpensive aluminum chairs, a garment bag won't do it. They are certain to be bent. A box, as previously suggested, would be the best.
