Super Bowl half time show, on a scale of 1-10

I give it a 10, but then again I'm biased. Anything with Janet Jackson in it I love it, she's my favority songstress. I guess it all depends on what type of music you like. I like R&B so go figure!

I give every halftime show for of the last 4 or 5 years that I remember a ZERO. If they want a good time and a good show bring on some Jimmy Buffett or some old 80's bands like Poison!

It was one of the worst shows ever, you did not even know for sure it was over, we thought there was more to it and it just ended.

I thought it was pretty good. Could have done without the no talert Jessica & P Diddy. But at least Jessica didn't drag her even less talented hubby into it.

Loved Kid Rock - he is awesome in concert.Saw him with Aerosmith 2 years ago. Janet is always great gld she did some 80's throwback stuff, although thought it would have been better if she pushed Timberlake off the stage - one less wanna be in the world.

Good idea, that would've been better. I think they are both more talented.

I actually listen to all of the music that was performed. I have very eclectic taste in music, everything from classical, "old" songs (40's and 50's) rock, hip-hop, 70's, pop, on and on and on.

Anyway, I thought the whole show was pretty much in poor taste. I probably would've enjoyed it more with my eyes closed.

Can't give it a zero, huh? One to ten, definetly a 1.

I don't care at all for the music and "singers" on at half time.
Even if I did like them I would not have been impressed.
The "accident" at the end looked staged to me. The whole thing rated a -15 with me.
Now Aerosmith before the game was great..... +10
Thumbs up to Beyonce too! Great singing without overdoing it.

Actually, I have to make a disclaimer here. I had this post ready to post about 1/2 way into the half time. I was surfing the Net, liatening/watching to the half time with one ear/eye. Had I given it my full attention, I would have rated it a full -0-.

It was like watching an overpricedand talentless bunch of LIP SYNCH artists.

If I went to a concert by these so called artists and they would then lip synch, I WOULD DEMAND A REFUND!!!

I grew up in the eighties, back when Madonna looked good and even male bands who wore make-up could REALLY sing.

Now it just seems if you can dance like a stripper....you've got a singing career.

The b**b incident....STAGED. Does anyone actually think that Justin could tear leather/vinyl off of her with such little force????

and I grew up in high school listening to Janet Jackson and Paula Abdul. In our High School drill team we went to a camp sponsored and put on and taught by Janet Jackson. It was awesome and she was very nice and very amazing. I dont know what has happened to her but that was just wrong! Kid Rock is a mess no matter what kind of music you like. I didnt have much respect for Janet or the freak who sang with her but now since Michael Jackson's stunts and her showing off last night finished it for me! I threw out ALL of the albums I had of Janet last night and was glad!

If that is what halftime shows are reduced to I think I will never watch another halftime show ever. My poor 17 year old niece was sitting with her new "boyfriend". They've been dating for only about 2 months so everything is still "new and embarassing" for her. They are sitting there and the halftime goes on and my niece about fell off the couch. Her face was at least 4 colors of red. My 10 yr old dd saw it and her face turned red as well and she ran out of the room yelling EWWW GROSSS SIIICCK!! EWWWWW LOL

That was considered a show? I did read on CBS news online thatt they doubt MTV will ever do a halftime show again and they own MTV. The target group seemed to be young adults, most of the viewers are not young adults. Between bad comericals and bad shows that last few years. The Super Bowl will loose viewers as soon as the game seems to be a blow out like most years.

Actually, I had the misfortune of seeing a close up. It in fact was NOT covered. The decoration she was wearing went around it, and only covered up a small part.

Can't really rate it, as I didn't really watch it. DH turned the channel at the point where he said, "I don't enjoy this music and I don't appreciate watching men grab their crotches." Guess we are maturing and don't appreciate this type of behavior. I might add, that I am glad that my DD61/2 has no concept of Brittney Spears.... I may not be a majority, but I think my kids will be age-appropriate kids.
