I'm trading our timeshare for a 2BR stay in either of the above resorts (have narrowed down to these two from the many available to me). We are a family of 5 (kids will be 12, 7 and 5) and they enjoy swimming, minigolf, game room, etc. I think that both resorts have great pools and also both have mini-golf. From checking out their websites, both look to be very spacious and well laid out with plenty of room for a family of 5. And I believe both are relatively close to WDW. For those of you who have stayed in one or both of the resorts----positives/negatives? Which would you recommend? BTW...we will be going in July or Aug. 2002 and plan to take advantage of the resort ammenities and to visit WDW and perhaps some other Orlando sights.

Thanks. DEB

SCP is much closer to WDW and the other area theme parks, at least a 10 minute drive closer than OLCC. It's a much smaller resort, meaning all villas are within an easy walk of a swimming pool.

OLCC is a larger, more full service resort, with many more planned & organized activities, many more resort amenities & facilities. If you plan to play golf and/or spend a couple of full days of your vacation enjoying the resort, this is a really nice one.
