Sunset Shot from my Hotel room

Hey guys!!

I have to apologize for not getting my photo edit out last week (or this week) as Im on travel for business. I did manage to bring my P&S Sony DSC, and managed to capture this picture from my hotel padio. Im staying at Mission Bay in San Diego, for those who are interested.

Not bad, but there is a smudge on the lens I cant seem to get rid of.

I looked at it, and thought "the people really make it a nice shot" seeing how they are enjoying the weather.

But then I noticed the guy looks like he had just been dumped by the girl, or something. hehehehehee

Crop the sides closer to the people and you have a really good photograph.

However, the strength of the photo isn't the sunset, but the silouhettes (sp?) of the people in repose, enjoying the ends of the day. Your technique is really good too as you got some really good outlines of the people with hair and everything frozen in that moment of your shutter without a blur. It is really good to get that much detail in low light.

I was pretty happy with this photo as well. I had tried several shots before this one, and didnt have as many people as I wanted. I do agree with cropping the photo down, mainly to emphasize the subjects. And the sunsets out here on the west coast are just amazing. Thanks for all of the critiques guys, I appreciate them.

As of right now, my current work schedule as me going to Pearl Harbor for about 5 days, the week before Thanksgiving. I hope to get some better shots from out there.
