Sunrise/sunset safari only for AKV concierge?

Am I right in thinking that these safaris are only for AKL concierge guests? DH seems to think that any concierge guest can do these. We'll be concierge @ WL in December. Thanks!

We checked this past trip as we were lucky enough to be placed in the Concierge for BC. They told us it was only for AKL Concierge guests, they called 2 different offices trying to get us on the list. Doesn't hurt to ask, it might change based upon availability and occupancy.

How could I find out? Can't I call the concierge desk? Where would I find that number?

Keeping in mind I could easily be wrong... I read once a couple of years ago that on the off-chance it doesn't fill up with AKL Concierge Guests, it is offered to other Concierge Guests (although I don't know how, since they really wouldn't know until the night before if there was space).

Are you sure you have the right safari? There are three club level safari's offered:

#1 Sunrise Safari - AKL club level guests only
#2 Sunset Safari - AKL club level guests at a discount, AKL guests if there are openings remaining
#3 Wildlife Discovery Excursion - open to all club level guests

Technically, you aren't a concierge guest of the AKL, so you can't call them directly. Instead, you should touch base with your pre-planning department and let them know you're interested. I believe Kelly gave you that contact information on your other thread. Not sure if they can do anything or how often the sunrise safari has openings, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Especially if you're going during a slow time of the year.
