Sundown Mingle? We went & enjoyed it!

Where is it? It says transportation is provided to and from Jambo House and Kidani Village. Is it someplace else?

The Sundown Mingle happen on Monday and Thursdays at 5PM, at the Jambo House 3rd fl overlook. There is transportation provided from Kidani to Jambo for the mingle.
You MUST sign-up ahead of time at the DVC desk, they need to know how much food to prep.
Be prepared for Disney trivia questions to win a DVC/AKL hat.
They have two $100.00 gift card drawings towards the end of the mingle.
Have your funny face on, the jokes and games can be fun if you get into them. If not they can be a drag.
If, enough people sign-up they will split the groups into two, using both overlooks. I have been at the split times and they split the groups up based on if a family has kids with them or not. Kids are allowed and welcomed at the mingle and they may also, have some kids club staff to watch them outside the mingle if enough ask for it.

We went to the Mingle last September and met some nice DVC families. There was literally no sales pitch and the appetizers were quite good. We also ended up winning the $100 gift card.

Sure...a person only gets the info when you stay at AKV, apparently. They don't keep the members updated on it. If there's a mistake in my invitation, well, so be it. We arrive on a Wednesday, and will try.

Loved it when we were there in jan. ESP the coconut rum drink they had. Lol. Very relaxing. No sales pitch but they were available if questions.

We signed up when we got to Kidani around 11:15 yesterday, and we are glad we did. DGS, 9, enjoyed the children's activities. We were very pleased about that. He is shy about joining groups. He will continue the bead collecting today. You sign your child in and get a slip of paper you need to show to pick him/her up.

Regarding Disboard participation. I met about 8 individuals, and only 1 ever participates here. Others had no clue of what I was talking about. The subject came up when we were asked to share with each other WDW experiences.

Yes, Wednesday!. I also enjoyed the dumplings and I think peach chutney was one of the accompaniments.

The weather has been pretty unpredictable here. About an hour ago, the skies just opened up! Took me by surprise. I was ready to have lunch on our balcony!

Trivia...duh...I was stumped by a question...what was Walt's wife First Name? I think to myself what was it before it was Lilly??

We didn't get any emails about it when we had our concierge points stay in May. It's so unpredictable who gets and who doesn't.

We did not win anything. If you are staying, you can sign up even if you don't get the e-mail. There are notices in all the elevators about coming to the Sundown Mingle. You can only go to one, per stay I guess or maybe not, since you must sign up and they did ask for membership information. The wanted the phone number associated with our membership.

As I mentioned the kids hour got our DGS excited about the bead activities. He's had a great time engaging with the CMs here. It has been a great visit, very animal themed. He talks about what he thinks each sister would like to do if, when, they come here with us for their special time with us.

Yes, there are other drinks. Did not really check them out, I enjoy coconut!

No, this one is tan with orange. The colors go with AKV, I think.

We didn't get any emails about it when we had our concierge points stay in May. It's so unpredictable who gets and who doesn't.

We also received no notice when staying concierge. Too bad. I would like to have participated.
