I'll be in WDW from September 4 through the 11th. I have every night I need but the 5th. I have called and called Member Services, but no luck. I guess the 5th is very popular for Florida residents.

Now my question. Would you spend the money and get a room by paying cash or would you do the one night here....more the next day....move the next day and then stay put until checkout?

If you have to move, I'd stay elsewhere on cash the nights of the 4th and 5th, that way you only move once. I hate moving.

Actually, though the suggestion above would also usually be my choice, you should avoid it now because whatever you booked for Sep 4 cannot be cancelled as to points because the points would go into the holding account since it is less than 31 days before Sep 4. Thus unless you can get that room at your chosen resort on points, you really have no option but to try for something else for that night. Thus, the first thing I would attempt is to try to get the same room category and resort via cash reservation for that one night and if you do that they should allow to stay in the same room for all nights. That to me would be better than reserving on points at another resort and moving twice in 2 days.

Well it depends on what is the cash rate. I'm doing cash for HHI, and it was pretty reasonable

I'm leaning toward the cash rate if they can give me a room where I don't have to move. The points for SSR will go into holding, but it would make life easier. In the meantime, I'll hope that a cancellation comes through.

Checked the dvcmember site this morning and I can't believe my eyes. My waitlist came through!!!!!!!!
