My wife and I stayed at the Swan 4/9 - 4/11. Planned on 2 days in the parks. We had a 6-day ticket, PH, no expiration tickets with 3 days left on them from 9/09. Friday night dinner at Capa was beyond our wildest dreams. So so good.

Anyway back to Sunday and the new FP+. EMH's were at HS in the morning on Sunday. We walked from the Swan to HS and arrived at 730AM. Gates opened at 8AM and we went straight to Toy Story. No wait at all at 8:05. Walked over to TOT and no wait at 8:20. Over to RnR, wait posted at 20 minutes. Wait was actually 10 minutes.

Walked out of HS at 9:05AM and walked to Epcot. Arrived at Epcot at 9:35AM and headed to France for some nourishment. We ate and then headed to the front of the park. Used our first FP+ at Turtle Talk at 10:30AM. Then rode Sum of all Thrills. Used our second FP+ on Spaceship Earth at 11:45 and then on to Living with the Land at noon.

We had a tour reservation at 12:45 for Behind the Seeds Tour. Way more interesting for my wife. I guess you could say I was mildly interested. Tour was supposed to be 45 minutes but ours lasted 75 minutes. Again my wife did not mind this at all. Our tour guide said there are 12 tours a day and each guide only gives 1 tour a day.

We had about a 15-minute wait until our 3rd FP+ at Test Track. 2:30 get in line for Test Track with FP+. We rode TT. We then went on Gran Fiesta with the 3 ducks and I immediately got on my phone and start my search for our 4th FP+. We are headed to AK after GFw3D's. After what seemed like 77 tries with no luck at all a FP+ for EE popped up for the 4:55 to 5:55 time slot.

After TT, we headed back to the Swan for a quick stop for some water and the car keys. We headed over to AK. We headed to EE and saw a 20-minute wait. We rode EE standby and then jumped back in line to use our 4th FP+ for EE. We then headed over to Kilam. Safari. While in line for KS, I again plugged away at my phone trying to score a 5th FP+. We were heading back to HS after KS. After many many attempts, I finally got the 5th FP+ for RnR for 6:25-7:25. Got off KS at 6:25 and headed out of the park.

Made the drive over to HS. Arrived at HS at about 7PM. We walked briskly to RnR and jumped in the FP+ line. We rode RnR and had another great ride. We headed over to Toy Story knowing that it closed at 8:15 for the fireworks. We got in line around 7:50. While in line, I knew we were heading to the MK late night but the new FP+ system said that they were "done for the day" distributing FP+'s for the MK. So I tried to get a FP+ for HS. After several tries, I got a FP+ for RnR for 8:15-9:15.

We rode Toy Story and exited about 8:30. We headed over to RnR but saw that Tower of Terror only had a 15-minute wait. So we headed over to and rode Tower or Terror. Headed over to RnR and used our 6th FP+ of the day. We walked over to the entrance of HS and watched the fireworks.

Headed to the car and drove to MK. We walked to the ferry and just missed the ferry by about 20 seconds. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The next ferry picked us up at 9:58PM. We watched the fireworks with about 12 other people on the ride over to the MK. We did not even plan on seeing the MK fireworks this night but somehow it worked out perfectly.

Entered MK. I thought that we felt like salmon swimming upstream a couple times during the day. First was when we left HS at 9AM with everyone walking at us. Next time was entering AK about 4:30PM and again everyone: walking right at us. Those were nothing compared to entering the MK right after Wishes. It was so bad that it was actually comical. The advantage I have is that I am 6'6'' 250 so when I was walking people coming the other way could see me and move over. It was literally a wall of people hundreds of yards long walking right at us.

After getting our bearings and actually figuring out where we were after navigating the throng we headed to Big Thunder Mountain. Afer that we headed over to Space Mountain. We then rode the People Mover and got in line for Seven D. Mine Train at 11:50PM. We got off the ride at 12:30AM. Took the ferry back to the car. Drove back to the Swan, got something to eat and in bed by 2AM.

Having had a pretty full day we decided not to use a 2nd day of the ticket and skipped the parks. Instead, we drove north to Jekyll Island, GA where we are until Saturday. Sorry if my abbreviations are wrong anywhere in here.

My wife's FitBit said that we walked 41,600 steps and 17.55 miles. My advice on the new FP+ system and getting extra FP+'s is to not give up. The app told me at least 15 if not 30 times there were no FP+'s available but a FP+ always seemed to pop up. The only time I was shut out of getting a FP+ was at the MK when they stopped distributing them for the day. I was wondering what happened to the canceled FP+'s throughout the rest of the day. They obviously were not redistributed.

Sorry if I rambled but all in all we had a great day and obviously a very full day.

Thanks for that thorough review! Sounds like a fabulous but exhausting day!

Thanks for the info - sounds like you all had a great day and rode some terrific rides!

Wow, that's an intense day!

I'm curious. Did you plan to do all that hopping from the get go, or did you just hop where you found FPs?

I'm a Disney commando. But you probably would have lost me around 10 miles walked that day.

Our original plan was to do HS (EMH morning) and Epcot on Sunday. On Monday the plan was AK (EMH morning) and MK and leave at about 8PM for our 3.5 hour car drive.

A couple of days beforehand I was doing some more readings of this and another board. I decided to use the tourinplans.com planning engine to see if I combined everything in 1 day and came up with this plan. The plan was to get a 7th FP+ in the MK late night but MK FP+'s were shut down for the day at about 6PM or so. We stuck pretty much to the schedule. The variable of which FP+ we would get next definitely contributed to a little more forced spontaneity. Riding Toy Story twice, RnR three times, ToT twice and seeing Wishes from the ferry were not in the plans. FP+ and being in the right place at the right time helped a lot.

I also forgot to mention that I would like to say a huge thanks to everyone who contributes on this board. My research started and ended with you. It was an invaluable asset for my planning and I cannot thank you enough.

Thanks for the great review! Sounds like a blast but I agree with mom2rtk, I don't know if I would have been able to go on. LOL

And yes, a HUGE thank you to everyone that takes the time to update all the information and answer questions. Such a big help.
