Sundary great day for Canadian hockey fans!

I posted this on the hockey thread on the Community Board but I thought it deserved a mention on this board too! Congratulations to the men's Canadian hockey team! They came from behind to win the World Championship over the Swedish team yesterday!

And to top it off, the Flames won over the Sharks!

As a beleagured Leaf fan, it was nice to route for winning teams for a change!

Anyway, it was a great hockey day for Canada yesterday!

I meant to mention this before now, but I kept forgetting!

Steve Staois's (of the Oilers) parents, live a couple of doors down from us. He took them with him for the Team Canada game and victory! He wasn't going to play, but his Dad talked him into joining the team. I'm sure he's very glad he did!!

He comes and stays for several weeks, with his folks. He's been rolling around on the lawn with his kids, looking very...um....athletic...lol.
