I need some guidance from all my fellow sunphobics! I am crazy pale and load up on the sunscreen here in RI and plan on doing so to even a greater extent in FL next month. I have already reached the conclusion that I will have to pick up my preferred brand when we get there as I don't think it will stay in tact on the plane ride.
What I am searching for is a sunscreen for the scalp. Hats are great but I don't want to wear one everyday and have to take it off on rides. Does anyone know of a company that produces sunscreen that you apply like a leave-in conditioner? I have heard rumors but never found a product.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I hope someone can tell me I'm wrong... but my SIL in the US and my best friend here in Canada who are both hairdressers AND my dermaologist have all told me there is no such product.

What I do when I need head protection... I am the "poster child' for skin cancer (but do not have it!)... and I'm not feeling the hat thing... Is I either wear a bandana... or

I have just found these lightweight material headbands that have an elastic underneath covered in the same material... the headbands are gathered material on top, you can wear it pushed together - but sometimes I spread it out and it covers the entire top of my head... it doesn't look too bad. Will flatten out my hair some, but I can deal with that.

Any one of those teeny-bopper accessories stores in every mall with the 1000's of styles of cheap, trendy jewelry, hairclips, glittery make up, room decor, feather boas, slippers etc... (Claire's is the name of one if you have that) should carry these.

I think if you checked the section you'd probably find them... they are even easier to wear than a bandana, you can even throw a hat over them.

If I had the know how I would so patent some spray on sunscreen for the head!

I am SO looking for that! THANK YOU for proving me wrong!!!! You made my night. :)

This stuff is so great I wish I didn't have to become a parent to try it out.

Banana Boat Kids tear free

It's a SPF 50 continuous spray sunscreen. It works really well if you are playing in water or sweating and is really easy on my skin.

I've taken it on planes a few times. I wrap it in a produce or plastic grocery bag and put it in my check luggage. Never had a problem and never caused a plane to crash.
