Summersville and other Driving Questions

Hi all,
Heading down to the World from Waterloo, ON in 37 days and counting. Planning to take I-79/US-19/I-77 route down and I-75 back.
We have heard multiple horror stories about SUMMERSVILLE, WV. Does anybody have any experience with overzealous police officers in that area? I'm told truckers avoid US-19 and am starting to wonder if we should, too.
Also--can somebody with experience of both please compare Atlanta and Toronto traffic? Should a 401 veteran be concerned?
One more thing. Bing and Google DRASTICALLY differ in drive time estimates: by more than 2 HOURS. Any real-life experience would be most appreciated. We're leaving at 3 a.m. on (Canadian) Thanksgiving Monday and plan to drive our faces off the first day, hitting Charlotte, NC before stopping for the night...

We always take the same route down - the 19 is fine, but yes DO THE SPEED LIMIT EXACTLY - they don't care if you're going 2 miles an hour over, they will stop you. But it's still worth it for the time gain to go that way. We always stop just past Charlotte as well. Good spot to stop, but if you can push through to Columbia NC there's a nice Sleep Inn there just off the 77 and it's less time to drive the next day. Can't help with Atlanta as we've never taken the 75

We travel that road several times a year. Just go the speed limit. It really isn't anything to worry about.

Charlotte will be about 13 hours for you with minimal stops and good traffic. It is 12 for us and we are just outside of Toronto.

Thanks...Bing said 12 hours, Google said 13-something, and then both of them differed by an hour the next day as well. Weird.
