I have reservations for the SS-LBV for the end of this month and I received a letter this week that states that they will be turning over management to the Staybridge Suites. I hope this doesn't turn into a lower level of quality. The change was to take effect October 6th.

We are headed down on Nov. 20th and my dh said he got a phone call last week telling us the same thing. I would love to hear how your experience was when you get back. Could you post a bit for me? Have a ball!

Thanks

what a shame, I like SS. Aren't Staybridge suites all studios? I hope they don't change the layouts of the rooms. The good thing is that you can get points from Holiday Inn's and not from SS.

WE have a reservation for SS on International Drive the last 2 nights in Orlando. I caled yesterday and they too have been bought our. However there are no intentions of getting rid og the 1/2 bedroom set ups at this time.
 But we can't use this hotel for the Wyndham 72 hours deals anymore..... we got a $200 2 bedroom suite for $80!!!!!

Maybe I am misreading what you are saying here, but SS are owned by Wyndham so they are part of the Wyndham By Request program. When you stay there you can get miles on a variety of different airlines if you put your airline miles program in your WBR profile.

Right, but you don't get any hotel points for free stays as far as I know. With Priority club (Holiday Inn) you can earn points twoards free hotel stays which is more important to me.
Are all the SS's changing?

I see, sorry for the confusion. You are right I do not think that Summerfield Suites offer "hotel" points for stays. Not all SS have been sold. If you go to the Wyndham site you can see which SS are still available, at least for the time being, I do not know what the future might bring for them.
