Summer tour groups?

Do the big tour groups still come to Disney in the summer? It has been about 10 years since I have braved DW in the summer. The last time we went I said never again, but well you know how it is, I have no other option now but when school is out. Anyway while we were at the parks (especially MK) there were HUGH tour groups that tried to travel together through the parks. It was a nightmare if you came upon them! I just want to be prepared, so should I expect them? Also anyone klnow what resort they would stay in? The individuals in these groups were fine but the sheer numbers were overwhelming! A line could go from 30 min to an hour in a second! I just want to plan accordingly.

Yes, they still visit WDW in the summer. For the most part, their visits are uneventful and go largely unnoticed. Only on one occasion, many years ago, did we experience a valid concern. Other than this, and the occasional "line cutting/crowding," we are never truly bothered by the presence of these tour groups. Enjoy your time in the MAGIC!
