Summer & Steven's Fairytale Wedding TR, 20th Aug SBP Baby Pics!!!

Steven of course didn’t enjoy this, he didn’t like the texture or the taste but I think he had his suspicions as to what part of the ‘duck’ it was. After he had eaten the majority of it and I had almost licked my plate, I confessed it was in fact goose liver. He calmly said “That’s why I don’t like it then”.

Too funny, but I am with Steven on that one.

We stood up to leave, and this is not as easy as it sounds when you’ve just eaten as much as I had. I had been sitting for 3 hours, it was now 8.50pm and we had to meet Randy at 9pm. I was almost scared to get out of my seat, thinking my legs would give under the strain. As we rose, we noticed people began applauding; we looked around to see what they were applauding for and realised it was for us. It began behind us, then like a Mexican wave, circled the whole restaurant. Before long, everyone was on their feet. This was like no applause I had heard before, this was the type of applause you had at the opera, the ballet, or a classical concerto. But as those types of applause go, this was raucous. Even Mafia man was up giving it his all.

Steven and I were stunned, the servers came out and all wished us congratulations again and all the best for the future. We were so touched and the applause followed us out. We looked at each other and realised that this would be the beginning of much, much more of this. Much, much more…”.

How cool is that. That must have felt wonderful of course my DH would have died because he hates to be the center of attention, me on the other hand would have loved it.

Can't wait to see the MK photo pictures.

How amazing!!! You're detail is fabulous...I don't think we will try V&A's, but you do make a good arguement for it. My DH is NOT adventurous foodwise and would hate it the entire time!

Also, glad to see you back on the DIS...I must ask, how goes the studying??? Best of luck! Can't wait for the next installment :goodvibes

I just got all caught up on your trip report. I love reading it. Thank you so much for writing it. I can't wait to read more.

Summer,

Your descriptions are so good I almost felt I was there!
We have booked Citrico's and Narcosee's and after reading your descriptions of the food although fantastic I am now so glad we did not go for V& A, I could never have the courage to try all those things LOL. Well done to you both.
What a very touching moment when they all applauded you.
Can't wait to read the next chapter.

Is there a link to your video????

wow V&A sounded amazing!
Do you book your menu in advance???
May i ask how much? & are there other menu options?
I feel full just reading the review & i havnt eaten! lol

Wow that meals sounds amazing. I can't wait to read/see more.

Summer - now I have to add V&A to my list of places to eat at Disney! My mouth is just watering!!! YUM YUM!!! :)

Hi Summer,

How are you studies going? Hope you got things sorted with your dress. I'm going for my first fitting on Monday  Looking forward to your next installment. Kxx

Hi Summer,
Just checking to see if you'd had chance to write anymore, hope the studing is going well.

Love Wendy xxxxxxx

Just waiting for the next installment. Take your time though... School is trying to kill me right now, lol. I work full time, go to school full time and I'm planning this gosh darn wedding. So I understand being busy and overwhelmed. I just wanted to check in.

Perhaps instead of law you should go into writing, become and author, lolololol.

Anyhow, we miss you and can't wait to read more!

Hi girls

Thanks for your patience. I will post the next instalment just now as I have kept you all long enough. I will respond to all that have commented already tomorrow if that's alright? Ugh, I feel guilty not doing that now!

Wedding Day continued...

So we walked as quickly as we possibly could to meet Randy. Steven and I debated along the way as to whether we were supposed to meet him inside The GF or outside; we decided to wait outside, overlooking the marina. I figured I would be easily spotted so I knew we wouldn’t miss him.
Randy showed up at 8.55pm and we decided to walk over to The Wedding Pavilion. We chatted about our meal at Victoria and Alberts as Randy said he was yet to try it.
We had hoped that The Wedding Pavilion would be open and we could get some nice shots beside it, but unfortunately the gates were locked. So instead we got some night time shots beside the gate, we actually managed to get some decent shots:

On our way back to The Grand Floridian we also stopped to get some pictures along the path. The path has subdued lighting all along it, so it made for some nice pictures:

By the way this is one of my favourite pictures:

We walked along and stopped for some pictures beside the pool, this was really strange as the pool was pretty full. A hush came over the growing crowd as Randy positioned us here and there. I heard people asking others if we were celebrities. We stayed here for about 10 minutes and got a few shots:

I asked Randy if he wanted me to jump in the pool. I said to him I would do almost anything for a good shot. He laughed; I think he thought I was joking!
Our main reason for asking Randy to come back was to get some pictures during Wishes. Wishes wasn’t until 10pm that night so we had a chance to talk to him about other things other than photography.
I’ll confess that I mentioned a few girls by name, Maggie, Jen, Karen, mainly to talk about shots and let him know how popular he is on the boards. I also asked how Emily’s wedding had been as I knew her wedding was the same day. He had said that her wedding had gone well. I explained to him that I wasn’t a stalker or anything like that, that I had ‘met’ Emily on these boards and I knew he was photographing her wedding. We continued to chat about the boards and other weddings he had shot; he said he really remembers Maggie’s glasses apparently and loves that she bugs him about putting up Disney brides pictures. See Maggie, you are very memorable!
Randy spoke about his kids for a while and we spoke about our future plans. He was just great to talk to, so approachable.
Wishes was about to begin and we found a spot on the marina on the far left hand side. Randy said if anyone tried to view Wishes from where we were, he would get rid of them, lol.
Now as a Wishes Novice, I didn’t know what to expect, I had seen samples of this show online and had heard the music before, but I was still new to this.
Randy told us to do whatever we wanted, just not to watch the show all the time, to turn to the camera every now and then.

To be honest, I hardly saw any of the show. I heard the music clearly and turned around when I was startled by the big bangs, but Steven and I were mainly caught in the moment, and even though we didn’t get great shots of the fireworks, I am glad we did this. Wishes was the perfect end to a perfect day and as we gazed into each others eyes we bid goodnight to our wedding day…

Coming up…
MK Shoot with Paul Looper

Well I have given an in-depth review of every vendor I used, so Randy will receive no different. In one word Randy is AWESOME. He is by far among the best choices I made for our wedding and I can certainly see why he is always booked up months in advance.
Through all our email ‘conversations’ he has always been so friendly and was always open to suggestions. He even allowed me to book him separately for shots during Wishes, something I know he doesn’t normally do.
On the day he was loads of fun to be around and oozed professionalism. It’s pretty obvious he loves what he does. He often stopped to let me see some of the shots he had taken, I think he knew that Steven and I were both interested in photography.
I paid for 4 hours of Randy’s time but in the morning he came early and when he met us for the night time shoot he stayed until 10.30pm. In total we actually had Randy for 5.30 hours, at no extra charge.
I easily recommend booking him, he was such an amazing down-to-earth guy and such value for money, seriously he could get paid 10 times what he charges and he would still be good value.
So my advice, if you are looking for a photographer in Orlando, book him now, you won’t be disappointed!

 I checked back at just the right time!! Another great installment. I'm so happy we wrapped up the wedding day, mostly. I'm interested to hear what became of your mother while you guys were at V&A's and whether she manages to get some dinner on her own! I'm sure by this point your guys were ready to just go to bed, am I right, am I right? I guess I'll just have to wait for you, lol. Thanks for the entertainment and a pretty good end to my work day! :flower3:

Your night time photos are so fabulous and romantic looking Summer. I am so glad we have booked Randy now, although I hate getting my photo taken with a passion I feel after reading your TR that I will feel more at ease with him, thanks so much :thumbsup2

We had Randy the next day after your wedding! He was incredible and gave us a lot longer than we had paid for as well. He also rushed to have our pics done and met us back at the GF the day before we left for home to deliver them. We ended up with over 1300 pics on our discs. We have decided next year we will be using him for a family photoshoot.

I was at a friends wedding yesterday at the WP and while her disney photographer was very nice and capable--she was no Randy Chapman!!

Summer, the night shots Randy took are fantastic! He really is worth so much more than he charges. I never thought about having him come back, that would have been a great way to get a totally different set of pictures ( *** thinking about vow renewal ideas *** ) LOL!

Summer - lovely pictures as always. I just noticed in your siggy you're moving. Did I miss that post?

Wedding Day continued...

This has to be a favorite shot of mine! I love the coloring in it...it really focuses on your flowers and makes them look so different! :bride:

I would really  to do a Vow Renewal at Disney, but don't think my husband would go for it! Just to have Randy do the pics! I wonder if I could book him during our 25th anniversary trip to do like an "engagement" set of pics??? hmmmmmmmmmmm

Summer, the night pictures are gorgeous. I can't wait to see the MK shoot pics. Your choice of flowers was beautiful. Calla lillies photograph so well and they complement you.
