The boys finish school for 7 weeks today :eek: I like to be organised and i am going to make a spreadsheet on what activities we have planned, this way i wont be nagged everyday about where we are going :laughing:

We live in South Wales between Newport and Cardiff but we travel everywhere, anything for a bit of peace and to have some fun :goodvibes
I would love for you to share where you are going and any day trips you recommend.

So far activities planned are:

* Folly Farm in Tenby
* Weekend at Legoland, Windsor
* Cinema to see Toy Story 3 followed by a Frankie and Bennys
* I have also bought the boys a months membership at our local indoor play place called Ezeeeplay for when it rains.
* Dinosaur Museum in Cardiff

Would love to hear your plans :goodvibes

I work so my kids will be mostly entertaining themselves :)

Please send them to me so they can entertain my boys too :rotfl2:

I have no chance of any peace, think i would rather be working! The boys are 2, 6 and 12 but the eldest (my step son) will also be spending time with his Mum.

Charlie will not sit still for 5 minutes and i would rather be out of the house so its tidy for when my DH gets home :)

No major plans here. We've had to cancel our Med cruise so I'm going to be pottering around, visiting friends and enjoying the Girly Weekend - that kind of thing. DH and I might go to Paris for the August Bank Holiday weekend but not sure about that yet...

My youngest son has plans of his own with friends and will be away for a couple of weeks from today but I'm hoping he'll still spend some time with his Mum.. :)

Thankfully my girls are old enough to sort themselves out :) The only things I've got planned are the Girly Weekend, and then hubby & I are off to Manchester over the August Bank Holiday

Have a great Summer holidays everyone, I don't envy you having to entertain your little ones for 7 weeks. I just hope the nice weather comes back, so at least they can play outside

I have to say, Mandy, that is the one thing I am hopeful for so Daniel can play football with his friends and not get on the girls' nerves too much :rolleyes:

DD is off to stay at my Dad's for a couple of days next week before the other two break up (don't finish here until next Friday although Daniel's school has 2 TD days).

I am hoping to be able to be more flexible with my working hours so I can take the odd day off here and there to try and break up the tedium a little too.

We have quite a few things planned. We are going to see Toy Story 3, going into Manchester city centre to go to some of the free museums, shopping etc, Chester Zoo, Blue Planet and to N.Wales, also have a cousins wedding to go to and my sister at is home for 3 weeks, time DD is back at school it will be time for me to go to NYC with my sister.:cool1:

My girls finish on Tuesday, and I can honestly say we havnt got a thing planned:thumbsup2

TBH that's the way we like to do it, we just like to plan one day at a time, weather pending:eek:

Im sure there will be one or several shopping trips planned:rolleyes1 and my parents have a caravan in Wales that we can go to anytime.

We soooo love school holidays, and cant wait for Tuesday:banana::banana:

Hope everyone has a good time:love:

We're just finishing our 2nd week, only 4 more to go. Our 1st week we were in Blackpool visiting the in laws. This week it hasn't stopped raining so kids are bored. Next week we plan on going to see Toy Story 3 and hopefully planning on doing some picnics/walks if the weather improves. Dh is back at work now and I don't drive and we live in the middle of nowhere so activities are limited, if its nice weather tho it is lovely as the can be out all day long playing

My holidays don't start until next Friday. We are away in Tenby for 1 week but will try to do the following:

Warwick Castle (we spend a lot of time there as it's within walking distance)
Hatton Farm
Wacky Woods (soft play)
in-laws
in-home cinema (we get some films, convert the living room and order pizza)
park 'n' picnic
swimming

My 3 are 10. 6 and 2 so they like different things which makes choosing activities interesting...

Hope you all have a great summer, you have some great things planned :goodvibes

Now all we need is for the weather to pick up! I normally arrange a day out to the park and i text all the mums from the school and we have a big picnic, works out great as the kids get to play with their friends and the mums get to have a gossip :goodvibes

DD and I won't be straying far from home as I am 34 weeks pregnant and last time gave birth at 36 weeks. But I am very happy about only 4 more days at work. :goodvibes

My girls have another week at school and only five and a half weeks off:goodvibes So far I have the following planned:

A three day dance workshop.
Two mornings a week at the local tennis club doing various sports and crafts.
Chessington
A Circus
Horse Riding
Various meets with playmates and a couple of trips to Nanny's at the seaside.

Have a great summer break whatever you're doing - I can't wait, I love having them home :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

We broke up for the summer yesterday, i will be mostly trying to stay sane and keeping my fingers crossed for decent weather :lmao:

i do have some activities planned already but we will mostly go with the flow on a daily basis

have a good summer everyone :)

Another week at school for me. My kids have been home for ages already - one's just done GCSEs and the other is back from Uni.

As they're older I don't really have to plan too many activities but DD & I are going to see Wicked, I've promised DS a trip to Tony Romas (the sacrifices I make for my children :rotfl:), DD, DH and I are going to Center Parcs in Holland for a week, we'll probably have a trip to see my parents (we haven't been to visit since Christmas :rolleyes1) and then DH and I are having a couple of nights in Paris to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary a couple of weeks early. (Funnily I keep getting asked if we're going to DLP - I do do other things! :rotfl2:)

There you are I didn't think I had much planned.

I do think, though, that it is quite healthy for children to be bored from time to time as it gives them a chance to discover their own interests and ways to relax.

Enjoy Center Parcs Libby, we're going to book De Emhof for Oct half term, I think:thumbsup2

::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

I couldn't agree more, I won't run a tight timetable, they are only going to the tennis club so I can go the the gym as I know my eating habits will go downhill over the holidays:lmao::lmao: and I'll be in a better mood for them if I go and workout! After being at school and on more of a schedule usually my girls just lov being at with with their own "stuff" (as they put it).
My list of activites is over a six week period as we're not going on holiday this summer :( so they will have lots of independant play at home too:thumbsup2
