Summary of Discounts to look for

Would someone be willing to sum up what discounts become available and roughly when for the Universal hotels? I'm having a hard time getting a handle on this. Looking through this forum, I see Supersavers mentioned frequently, for example, but I don't know what that means. I also see that folks book rooms and then wait for a particular sequence of discounts to come out, like AAA, Supersavers, FL resident, other stuff. It would be really helpful if someone could sum up:
Name of discount
Eligibility Requirements
How to sign up for whatever (AAA, special discount cards, newsletters, etc.)
Rough dates (discounts for late Oct and early Nov, usually released Aug)
And rough discount (Usually somewhere around $130 or 20% off, something like that.)

i book with the AAA discount as soon as january 1st comes around for an October stay.
then i start checking the websites to modify my room rate when the other rates are released.


sometimes the supersaver is the best rate of all.
there have been times when the AP rate lowered 2 weeks before my trip.

you just never know when the discounted rates for rooms will drop so check periodically to catch one.

discounts can be up to 35% at times.

supersaver rates are for a 4 night in a row stay at the onsite hotels.
they are for select dates. once they are gone, they are gone...
people modify their ressies sometimes for this special.

check out the hotels on the UO website to gain more info on the rates and rack costs of the rooms.

i don't do the packages.
the discounted SS or any discount that includes breakfast for 2 or tickets, i avoid. it doesn't come out cheaper for me.

you usually come out ahead by doing all separately.
