Suites Hotels

I have Dolphin ressies for 11 nights in June. I am considering switcing to an off-site suite hotel for several reasons: 16 y/o son bringing friend....want kitchen facilities to save $$.... am now renting car so Disney Transportation is no longer such a huge priority. Howevr, if I switch ot a suite hotel off site, I still want DS and his friend to be able to get around on their own. Are there any suite hotels that are really close (i.e. they could get to Disney Transportation System by walking from hotel)? What suite hotels are closest and which ones do you all like most?

I just looked at my countdown clock and it is wrong. I am leaving in less than a month. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Afraid I can't help with the countdown clock, but you could certainly look at the Doubletree Guest Suites in Downtown Disney as a good walking alternative. The Sheraton Safari also has some very large suites and is only 5 mins from DD, while there is also the Marriott Village at the I4 junction of LBV nearby.
